WWE NETWORK, PEACOCK REMOVE ANOTHER QUESTIONABLE SEGMENT FROM THE PAST

By Mike Johnson on 2021-03-31 16:18:00

The WWE Network has removed the infamous DX segment where the faction dressed as The Nation of Domination to mock them from the 7/6/98 episode of Monday Night Raw.  That episode has not yet migrated to Peacock but will have the segment removed for obvious reasons when it is added to that streaming service.

The WWE Summerslam 1998 PPV event, which is currently available on both Peacock and the WWE Network, has seen the video package prior to HHH vs. The Rock, which featured clips from that DX Raw segment, removed as well.

PWInsider.com first broke word last week that Peacock was removing questionable material from WWE's past while migrating the content over to the NBCU streaming service.

Over the weekend, NBC Universal and WWE each commented to The New York Times about the removal of the content.

NBCUniversal said that Peacock was “reviewing WWE content to ensure it aligns with Peacock’s standards and practices,” as it does other shows and films on the platform.

“Peacock and WWE are reviewing all past content to ensure it fits our 2021 standards,” WWE said.
