Do you think MJF and The Pinnacle attacking The Inner Circle is AEW's way of getting back to the Blood and Guts match?
It's possible, but it's also possible they could be building to the next Stadium Stampede as well.
Why do you think MJF has taken off the way he has?
I think a big part of it is that he's always trying to be a heel and never, ever breaks character in public. That sort of intense, strict ability to remain in character is extremely rare in this era and I feel like the fact that he never ever lets it go when he's in front of fans has a big part of why he's been so successful. He's always "on" so it's easier for him to remain "on."
I saw Doug Williams is out of retirement. Do you hope he gets another run in ROH or elsewhere?
Oh God, I hope so. He's a fabulous wrestler and I've always felt he has never truly gotten a big, consistent ability to showcase himself. To me, he's very much a Dean Malenko type who can be the glue to hold a division together.
Any idea when Brock Lesnar debuted in MSG? I know I was there and it was a TV taping but I can't find him on the Network until his Raw debut in 2002 but that wasn't at The Garden.
Brock worked a dark match, defeating Ron Waterman in January 2002 in the Garden. My guess is that is the match you are thinking about. Randy Orton made his MSG debut in the next match on the show, another dark match, beating Rico Constantino.
How long is the first season of Young Rock? Is it coming back?
They filmed 11 episodes for the first season. NBC has not yet officially renewed the show.
