Universal Champion Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring and he is joined by Paul Heyman and Jey Uso.
We take a look at highlights from the Elimination Chamber match to determine who would be quickly dispatched by Roman Reigns moments after victory.
Roman is handed the mic and he says it isn't a secret. Smackdown needs me. Same thing can be said about the Elimination Chamber. It needed me. What did I do? I answered the call. That is what the head of the table and tribal chief does. I saved this place again. I faced the winner of the Elimination Chamber match, and what happened/ I smashed Daniel Bryan. The most exciting ass whooping of the year, maybe the decade. That is what I am in this life.
Roman says anyone else in his shoes and he would be boasting and bragging and have a celebration, but not me. I am above that. I live and operate in this ring at a higher level. Nobody understands. If it wasn't perfect, it wasn't me. Do you want to know why it wasn't perfect? It was because of one man . . . Edge. Edge got one. You speared me in my ring on my night. Then you point at the sign. It could have ended there, but you had to make it official. Roman Reigns versus Edge in the main event of Wrestlemania.
Roman says you don't want it or need it in your life. I am going to give you another opportunity. Back down. Beat it. Scram and go back home. You have a beautiful family. You are a father and husband. I don't wanna hurt you. I like what you stand for. I appreciate your legacy and comeback. I don't want to hurt you. Understand this. Get it through that thick head of yours. This is why a man like you doesn't stand a chance against a man like me.
Daniel Bryan's music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Nearly perfect? You described your Universal Title defense at Elimination as 'nearly perfect'. Daniel says he had to come out and say, from his perspective, he 100% agrees. How magnanimous to put up your title against a man who went through an entire Elimination Chamber match. I have heard some rumblings about some people who think differently. People who think that you coming out immediately after the Elimination Chamber match was cowardly. To face a man who went through five other people and then to demand to face that man immediately after is not a real champion.
Daniel says that isn't him. He doesn't come out and complain. Daniel says he is addressing the rumors. Daniel says he didn't think the head of the table would defend the title in the second match. That should have been a main event spot, or would that have given Daniel too much time. Daniel says he was in this ring in your first match in the WWE. I know how good you were from the beginning. You want to create a legacy. Why not prove the doubters wrong.
There have been a lot of comparisons. Why don't you defend your Universal Championship one more time with no qualifiers, at Fastlane.
Jey takes the mic and he wants to know what DB is doing out here. He hears a bunch of excuses. You lost. You at the back of the line. To get to the head of the table, go through the right hand man. I will get you.
Roman stares at Daniel and he says after what I did to you, you really want me to hurt you again?
Jey with a forearm to Bryan and then he sends Bryan to the floor. Jey follows and sends Bryan over the ringside barrier into the crowd.
Jey is poud of what he did and Roman appears to approve.
Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce are in the back and they are excited for the options.
Edge shows up and he says he needs to talk to Adam and Sonya about Daniel Bryan trying to get a title match at Fastlane before he faces Roman at Wrestlemania.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Jey says he is sorry that he jumped the gun because DB disrespected him. Roman says there is no need to apologize as long as he gets the job done.
Edge is with Adam and Sonya and he mentions the possibility of a tag match with him and Bryan against Roman and Jey.
Adam says that was the plan but Daniel made the challenge. If Daniel wins he gets the match but the Universal Title is still more important.
Chad Gable wants to point out what happened last week on Smackdown with Rey Mysterio.
Chad asks to see it again and slowed down.
Match Number One: Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio versus Otis Dozoviic and Chad Gable
Rey and Otis start things off and Rey trips Otis and Otis with a body block. Otis with a slam and he slams Rey again by tossing him across the ring. Otis with a running shoulder into the corner. Otis with punches and Chad stops him and the referee warns Otis as well. Gable tags in and he gets Rey on his shoulders and hits a gutbuster. Gable sends Rey into the turnbuckles and connects with a shoulder. Rey with a boot to Gable and Gable with a fireman's carry but Rey lands on his feet but Gable stops Rey. Rey kicks Gable and Dominik tags in.
Dominik with a clothesline and elbow followed by an elbow in the corner. Dominik floats over and sends Gable into the turnbuckles. Dominik with a tornado DDT for a near fall. Rey with a seated splash off the turnbuckles and then they send Otis to the floor. Rey and Dominik with stereo 619s to Gable followed by a splash to Gable for a near fall. Otis with a double sledge to Dominik and Otis tags in. Otis catches Rey off the ropes and Otis with a standing power slam. Otis goes to the turnbuckles for a splash and hits it.
Otis gets the three count.
Winners: Otis Dozovic and Chad Gable
We are told that Bryan versus Uso is official and if Bryan wins, he faces Roman at Fastlane.
We see footage of Big E being stretchered out last week.
Apollo Crews is in the Gorilla Position as we go to commercial.
Apollo Crews says people have asked about the change. You really don't know anything about me. For far too long, I have been nice and humble. I have been respectful, but I haven't received the same respect. Being who I am and who my family is, that is unacceptable. I am not from the hood or the suburbs. I am from NIgeria. I am an African-American. This is who I am. My family is royalty. They controlled some of the richest lands in NIgeria. He was draped in gold and had five wives. His word was law and his power was feared. This is who he is and this is what he represents. These colors stand for wealth, dominance, and power.
Big E found that out last week. Like his grandfather told him, if your rivals defy you, show them steel. I showed Big E the steel and he will never disrespect me again. Shinsuke Nakamura, you will suffer the same . . .
Nakamura's music interrupts Crews.
Match Number Two: Apollo Crews versus Shinsuke Nakamura
Crews attacks Nakamura from behind before the match and he sends Nakamura to the floor. Crews picks up the ring steps and the referee tells him to put them down.
We go to commercial.
We are back and the match started during the commercial. Crews punches Nakamura. Crews with a hard Irish whip. Crews gets a near fall. Crews with a reverse chin lock. Nakamura with elbows but Crews grabs the hair and hits a German suplex but Nakamura lands on his feet. Nakamura with a round kick. Nakamura with forearms and kicks to Crews. Crews with an Irish whip but he misses a splash. Nakamura puts Crews on the top rope and Nakamura with a kick to the back and he hits a sliding knee for a near fall. Nakamura kicks Crews in the back. Nakamura with a reverse chin lock but Crews grabs the hair. Crews with a German suplex and he holds on for a second one. Crews holds and hits a third German suplex for a near fall.
Nakamura misses a round kick but hits a second attempt. Crews is put in the ropes and Nakamura with a sliding German suplex but Nakamura is under the ropes so the referee does not make the count. Nakamura sets for Kinshasa and Crews goes to the floor. Nakamura follows Crews and Crews with a kick and he sends Nakamura shoulder first into the ring steps. Crews sends Nakamura back into the ring and Crews presses Nakamura over his head but Nakamura gets to his feet and Nakamura with a sleeper.
Crews uses his royal attire and he pulls Nakamura into the turnbuckles. Crews with a kick and an Olympic Slam for the three count.
Winner: Apollo Crews
Roman Reigns is in his office and Paul Heyman tells Roman that he saw Adam Pearce and he tells Roman the match is official. If Bryan wins, he gets a title match at Fastlane.
Roman asks if the tag match is scrapped.
Paul says IF Daniel Bryan wins tonight.
We go to commercial
Match Number Three; Tamina (with Natalya) versus Liv Morgan (with Ruby Riott)
Tamina backs Liv into the corner as the match starts. Tamina with kicks but Liv with a forearm and head scissors that sends Tamina into the turnbuckles. Tamina with a kick to the head. Tamina with a punch and she sends Liv's head into the turnbuckles a few times. Tamina with a biel to Liv and a running hip strike and Tamina gets a near fall. Liv with an elbow to the midsection. Tamina with a clothesline. Tamina with a slam for a near fall. Liv with punches to Tamina and Tamina sends Liv face first into the mat. Liv blocks a hip toss and Liv goes for a back slide but Tamina avoids it. Liv with an enzuigiri.
Liv avoids a forearm in the corner and Liv with a drop kick and punches. Tamina sends Liv into the corner and Liv with a kick and missile drop kick for a near fall. Tamina with a splash and Samoan drop. Tamina lets out a scream followed by a spinning side slam for the three count.
Winner: Tamina
Bianca Belair walks in the back and it is time to find out who she will face at Wrestlemania . . . but after this commercial.
