MLW FUSION REPORT: CARIBBEAN TITLE STRAP MATCH AND MORE

We begin with comments from Savio Vega and Richard Holliday going into their Caribbean Championship Match tonight.

Josef Samael calls Injustice infantile infidels. Only fools think they have a chance against Contra in an ambush. Samael says he has soldiers in the shadow, lurking in the dark corners of this planet. Daivari addresses Oliver and Reed. Samael says Daivari was a weak and broken man, but he was rebuilt by Contra. He is bigger, faster, and stronger. He will humble Injustice.

We are in Orlando, Florida and your announcers are Rich Bocchini and Jared St. Laurent.

Match Number One: Zenshi versus Laredo Kid for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship

They shake hands before locking up. They lock up and Laredo backs Zenshi into the corner and gives a clean break. They lock up and Zenshi backs Laredo into the corner and Zenshi with a clean break. Zenshi with a side head lock but Laredo with a front face lock into a wrist lock. Zenshi with a reversal. Laredo with a reversal and Zenshi with a waist lock take down. Zenzhi avoids Laredo and hits a drop kick.

They go to a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock and Laredo with the wrist lock and he gets Zenshi to his knees. Zenshi misses a moonsault when Laredo moves but Zenshi lands on his feet. They lock up and Laredo with a shoulder and then Zenshi sends Laredo face first to the mat. Zenshi with a handspring kick to sedn Laredo to the floor. Zenshi with a Tiger Feint Kick on the apron followed by a shooting star press off the apron.

Zenshi sends Laredo back into the ring and Zenshi with a slingshot senton for a near fall. Zenshi with a seated abdominal stretch. Laredo gets Zenshi on his shoulders but Zenshi gets to his feet and connects with an elbow. Zenshi with an Irish whip but he runs into an elbow. Laredo with a kick from the apron and Laredo goes up top and hits a missile drop kick that sends Zenshi to the floor. Laredo teases a pescado but stops on the apron when Zenshi moves. Laredo misses a moonsault to the floor but Laredo with a Michinoku Driver on the floor.

Laredo with a 450 splash off the apron onto Zenshi. They return to the ring and Laredo gets a near fall. Laredo holds his shin before connecting with a forearm to the back. Laredo kicks Zenshi and then he applies a front face lock. Laredo with a shoulder in the corner and then he connects with a forearm in the corner. Laredo with a Michinoku Driver followed by a moonsault off the bottom rope. Lardo goes for a moonsault off the middle rope but Zenshi gets his knees up.

Zenshi with a knee to Laredo and a kick to the head. Zenshi with a somersault senton off the turnbuckles followed by a lateral press and shooting star press for a near fall. Zenshi with a forearm and Laredo with forearms. Zenshi with a back heel kick followed by a Pele Kick. Laredo with a flipping DDT but Zenshi gets his foot on the rope to break the count. Laredo gets another near fall. Laredo kicks Zenshi and goes up top. Zenshi with a kick to stop Laredo on the turnbuckles followed by a snap mare driver for a near fall. Zenshi goes up top but Laredo stops Zenshi. Laredo is pushed off the turnbuckles and misses a forearm. Zenshi with a kick and he goes for a super gourdbuster but Laredo blocks it. Laredo with Spanish Fly for the three count.

Winner: Laredo Kid (retains championship)

After the match, Laredo Kid is in the back and he says he is the best cruiserweight in the world. He proved in AAA. Now he is here to prove to everybody who is Laredo Kid. I want to be a double champion in MLW. I want Lio Rush. I want the Middleweight Championship. Nothing will stop me.

We take a look at Injustice’s attack on Jacob Fatu and Daivari.

We take a look back at the tag title match when Los Parks won the tag titles from the Von Erichs.

We go to Hawaii and Kevin Von Erich has Ross and Marshall cleaning the woods. He says hard work got them where they are. Take the anger and use it to build.

Ross and Marshall talk about having unfinished business with Tom Lawlor. Then they are going to get the tag titles back.

We go to Los Parks. LA Park thanks them for the opportunity to win the titles.

We go to commercial.

We are back with footage of Gino Medina outside the building. He is asked why is he at the building when he is not scheduled for a match. He says he knows he is not scheduled to compete. The reason he is here, is that he is here to watch the main event. He is here to see Richard Holliday get cracked.

We take a look at a video from Mads Krugger where he says that Hammerstone is on borrowed time. They will participate in a fight that will live in your nightmares for eternity.

Tom Lawlor says he needs to make one thing clear. Neither he nor anyone associated with Team Filthy had anything to do with ACH’s injury. ACH couldn’t get it done in the Opera Cup and he probably realized that ACH couldn’t get it done against Jacob Fatu. Maybe MLW could have put someone in there who had success in the Opera Cup.

We are told that many sponsors have pulled from Filthy Island.

Match Number Two: Bu Ku Dao and TJP versus Dominic Garrini and Kevin Ku in a Number One Contender Match

Garrini and Dao start things off. Garrini with a front face lock and he tosses Dao into the corner. Garrini goes to the ground to force Dao to do something. They have a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock and Garrini with a submission but Dao escapes. Garrini with a waist lock and he tosses Dao to the mat. Garrini goes for a triangle and locks it in and tags Ku into the match. Ku with a surfboard but Dao escapes. Ku with a forearm. Dao with a rana into a front face lock.

Dao with a suplex and he tags in TJP. TJP gets Dao on his shoulders and hits Finlay Roll onto Ku and TJP gets a near fall. TJP with a waist lock and Ku with a back elbow. TJP with a full nelson and hammer lock followed by an octopus. TJP with a rollup for a near fall. TJP with a slam and Dao tags in. TJP drops Dao onto Ku and Dao gets a near fall. Dao with a front face lock. Garrini tags in and he applies a waist lock and Ku with a European uppercut and Garrini with a German suplex. TJP is knocked off the apron and Garrini kicks Dao in the back. Garrini with a reverse chin lock. Garrini with a judo throw into a side head lock.

Garrini with kicks to the back. Ku tags in and Garrini with a snap mare and both men with kicks. Ku gets a near fall. Ku with an arm bar. Ku with a kick to the back and a chop. Garrini tags in and he stands on the ankle and kicks Dao. Garrini with a chop and kicks to the back. Garrini with a front face lock and he taunts TJP. TJP is drawn into the ring and the referee focuses on TJP while Ku holds Dao for Garrini. Garrini with a snap mare and a back breaker. Ku with a clothesline and then Ku tags in. Ku gets a near fall. Ku with a reverse chin lock.

Dao with elbows and Ku with punches. Dao with a crucifix bomb and TJP tags in. TJP knocks Garrini off the apron and TJP with a tornado DDT to Ku. TJP with forearms and clotheslines to Garrini. TJP with a drop kick. Garrini with a knee to TJP and TJP with a chop and he goes to the turnbuckels and takes Garrini and Ku down. TJP with a front face lock suplex and he holds on for two more. TJP goes to the turnbuckles and Garrini pushes TJP off the turnbuckles.

Dao tags in and Dao with a La Mistica into a cross face. TJP with an octopus on Garrrini and Garrini falls onto Dao and Ku to break up the hold. Dao with a drop kick to Ku but Ku with kicks to the legs. Ku with a kick to the head. TJP with a jumping back kick to Ku. Garrini with a knee to TJP. TJP sends Garrini into Ku. Dao comes off the turnbuckles with a DDT and TJP with a splash. Dao gets the three count.

Winners: Bu Ku Dao and TJP

King Mo says he is speaking to you as Muhammed Lawal. Months ago, I beat, I beat up, I beat down, I damaged, I scarred Low Ki. He was a legend and now he is a broken man. He says he saw Low Ki signing an autograph spelling his name backwards. He says he has seen it in MMA and boxing. The head trauma. Let’s stop this man from competing. He should not step into the squared circle because his next time might be his last time. His last time might be his last time breathing if Low Ki steps in the ring with him.

Richard Holliday says that Savio thinks he is getting one past him. This is a Caribbean Strap match. These are your terms. I watched your match with Steve Austin 30 years ago. It was a classic. Tonight will not be a classic. It will be a true Caribbean crime. I will take pleasure using that strap on your back to cause you pain and suffering. I want you think that you did this every time that strap hits your skin. You will never outsmart me. You will never OutCaribbean me. You will never outchampion me.

Savio says he is ready for the battle and the title is coming back to Puerto Rico.

Match Number Three: Richard Holliday versus Savio Vega for the IWA Caribbean Championship in a Caribbean Strap Match

Holliday hits two turnbuckles but Vega pulls Holliday into the center of the ring to stop Holliday and he hits Holliday with the strap. Vega chokes Holliday with the strap and Vega hits two turnbuckles. Vega has the third turnbuckle and Holliday stops Vega’s momentum to stop things. Holliday with a kick and punches. Holliday with a back elbow and kicks. Holliday chokes Vega with the strap and sends him into the mat.

Holliday whips Vega with the strap. Holliday hits two turnbuckles. Holliday gets to the third turnbuckle and Vega with chops and punches to stop Holliday. Vega chokes Holliday with the strap. Vega kicks and chokes Holliday in the corner. Vega gets two turnbuckles. Vega gets to the third turnbuckle but Holliday stops Vega and they have a tug of war with the strap. Holliday with a thumb to the eye and he chops Vega.

Holliday kicks Vega in the corner and Vega with a punch. Holliday is sent into the turnbuckles followed by an Irish whip and back body drop. Vega clotheslines Holliday over the top rope to the floor. Vega gets to one turnbuckle but the strap prevents Vega from getting to any other corner. Holliday drops Vega on the top rope. Holliday gets to the turnbuckle and goes up top and clotheslines Vega.

For some reason, the referee starts to count as Holliday hits a turnbuckle. Holliday gets number two and then he gets to number three. Vega rolls away and pulls Holliday to keep him from the fourth turnbuckle and Vega flips Holliday to the mat. Vega gets a turnbuckle and then moves on to number two. Vega with number three and then the referee stands in front of the fourth turnbuckle and Holliday stops Vega. Holliday gets to two two turnbuckles. They return to a tug of war.

Vega with a clothesline. Vega follows with a knee drop and he chokes Holliday with the strap. Vega whips Holliday with the strap and then he ties Holliday’s feet with the strap. Vega gets to two turnbuckles as he drags Holliday around the ring. Vega gets to the third one but Holliday with a snap mare to stop Vega. Holliday with an elbow to the back. Holliday punches Vega in the corner and chokes Vega in the corner. Holliday with a clothesline and he covers Vega and wants the referee to count but there are no counts in a strap match. Holliday gets to the first turnbuckle and then he gets to number two but Vega gets one. They return to the tug of war and then they each hit a turnbuckle at the same time. Vega and Holliday with clotheslines at the same time while the referee starts the count. Vega gets to his feet and he hits a turnbuckle. Holliday hits one while Vega hits a second turnbuckle. While Vega hits his third, Holliday hits two and three. The referee gets in Vega’s way and prevents Vega from getting to his fourth turnbuckle and Holliday gets to the fourth turnbuckle as Vega grabs the referee.

Winner: Richard Holliday (retains championship)

After the match, Richard Holliday is asked about the controversy over the match. Richard asks what controversy. He says the odds were against him, but what he does for the consumers in the Caribbean. He asks the referee if it was called down the middle and Tim says it was just like in 2007 with the Lakers and the Kings.

Savio Vega comes over to argue with Holliday and complain about the result.
