COMPLETE AEW DYNAMITE REPORT

By Cory Strode on 2021-01-27 20:06:00

It's Wednesday and you know what that means.

It's time for AEW Dynamite, coming from you from Daily's Place in Jacksonville Florida. Our announcers are Jim Ross, Excalibur, and Tony Schiavone.

We start off with Eddie Kingston on his way to the ring, and he is quickly followed by Lance Archer with Jake Roberts. The announcers put over that their issues started back at All Out in the battle royal.  Archer sends Jake to the back before coming to the ring.

Eddie Kingston vs Lance Archer

Eddie attacks Lance as he gets in the ring, and Lance quickly takes control with a big boot and a series of back elbows in the corner.  Eddie is able to escape and starts work on Lance's knee.  Eddie bites Lance and then follows up with chops in the corner.  He thumbs Lance in the eye and goes back to working on Lance's knee.

Lance is able to regroup and they trade chops.  Eddie climbs to the second turnbuckle and hits Lance with a shoulder tackle.  Eddie tries to run the ropes, but Lance drops him with a shoulder tackle.  Lance takes over and repeatedly drops Eddie with chops on the ropes.  Lance picks up Eddie and choke slams him on the apron from inside the ring..Lance leaves the ring and slams Eddie into a ringside camera.  Lance keeps up the pressure on Eddie outside the ring.

Eddie rolls in the ring and Lance follows it up with a full nelson slam. Lance hits a splash using the ropes and covers Eddie, pulling him up on the one count. Lance picks Eddie up and sets up for a chokeslam, but Eddie is able to kick Lance's leg and follows up with a running strike and a two count.  They both get up and Lance drops Eddie with a short arm clothesline.  Lance pulls Eddie up and sets up for the Black out, but Eddie is able to escape.

Lance keeps control with a kick and then a rip cord into a choke slam.  Lance grabs Eddie's hand and pulls him to his feet. Lance walks the ropes and hits a moonsault press onto Eddie.  Lance then locks on a claw and slams Eddie on the mat until Butch and Blade come out with Jake looking beat up. As Lance is jawing with Butcher and Blade, Bunny hands Eddie brass knuckles.  Lance comes back to the match and Eddie hits him with a back fist and covers Lance for the three count.

Your winner: Eddie Kingston

After the match, Butcher and Blade hit the ring and drop Lance with their finisher.  They pull Lance up and Eddie nails him with another back fist.  They leave the ring, triumphant.

The announcers go down the card for the night.

We go to Jon Moxley and he goes down what is going on with the Young Buck, the Good Brothers and Kenny Omega.  He says they are always creating drama, and how the Lucha Brothers have drama with Eddie Kingston.  Mox says he's a simple guy, with hot coffee cold beer, room temperature water and sex in the morning. He only trusts in right and left hands, but he loves a 6 man tag and he's looking forward to it at Beach Break.

After our commercials, Darby Allen and Sting talk about their match at Revolution.

Sting says his feelings are hurt by Taz calling he and Darby hoodlums.  He then says Darby is a hoodlum.  Darby says that in the streets, it doesn't matter if you play clean or dirty, its all about survival. He's a hoodlum, no different than Taz and his crew.  Sting says he's a hoodlum too, and at Revolution, isn't gonna be showtime.

Back at the arena, Chris Jericho and MJF come to the ring to MJF's music that turns into Jericho's music.  The rest of the Inner Circle is with them as we get the Jacksonville Singalong. The Varsity Blondes are  already in the ring, which is never a good prospect.

Jericho and MJF vs The Varsity Blondes

As the bell rings, MJF says he will need to talk to Sammy after the match is over. He tells Griff Garrison he embarrassed him the last time they were on TV, so he should just submit.  Garrison responds by dropping him with a punch and then mounts him for more pounding until MJF gets out of the ring.  MJF gets back in and they run the ropes, and Garrison drops MJF with a big boot.  MJF gets out of the ring and grabs a chair and the Inner Circle stops him.

MJF comes to the ring sans chair and tag in Jericho who runs in to take a drop toe hold by Garrison.  Garrison tags in Brian Pillman Jr. and they work over Jericho with double team moves.  Pillman covers Jericho for a two count.  Pillman tossed Jericho to the ropes and Jericho held on so that Pillman's dropkick fails. Pillman tossed Jericho again and this time his drop kick connected. They get to their feet and Jericho gets in a few blows before Pillman drops him with a clothesline.  As Pillman goes to the ropes, MJF knees him in the back, allowing Jericho to get the tag and allowing us to go to Picture in Picture.

MJF and Jericho work over Pillman through the commercial on the small screen.

When the screen gets big again, Jericho tags in MJF and Pillman is able to tag in Garrison and Garrison proceeds to take out MJF and Jericho. It ends with Garrison taking them both down with a double spear and covering MJF for a two count.  Pillman is tagged in and hits MJF with a missile drop kick, sending him careening to his corner and Jericho tags in only to be met by a boot.  Pillman covers for a two count.

Pillman picks up Jericho and he and Jericho exchange blows. Jericho comes off the rope and goes over the top rope as Pillman pulls it down.  Jericho gets back on the apron and Pillman knocks him back to the floor with a drop kick. Pillman tosses Jericho in and springs off the ropes into Jericho's Judas Effect, followed with a Lion Sault and covers for a three count.

Your winner:  Jericho and MJF

After, we see that Garrison was pulled off the apron, so he couldn't break up the count. The Inner Circle gets in the ring and gives the group the middle finger and then MJF and Sammy start to have words.

We go to a pretape with Pac who runs down Kenny Omega, and at Beach Break, he and Ray Fenix will hurt the Good Brothers.  Nice, short, effective promo.

After another set of commercials, we get Shaq telling he will take on Cody, the little punk, in March.

In the ring, Tony Schiavone is the ring for Cody's Elaborate Entrance.  Cody and Arn Anderson come to the ring to answer Shaq, and we see the promo from Jade Cargill's promo last week.  Sadly.

Tony asks Cody to respond to both Shaq and Jade.  Cody says he won't respond, instead he will be giving a pitch that it will be him and Brandi vs Shaq and Jade, but he can't say that because Brandi's having a baby.  Cody says that when he is distracted he lets his coach speak for him.  He also said that Arn chewed him out for taking Peter Avalon lightly last week.

Arn said he would earn his money because he may contradict himself tonight.  He tells Cody that being a dad is the most important thing in his life. He then asks Cody about the date  6/29/1985.  On that date, he saw Dusty get in the ring to fight Tully Blanchard, he then got on a plane to make it home in time to see the birth of Cody Rhodes.  He then says if Cody goes into the match at Revolution, he needs to be ready for it to be legendary.  Arn puts over Shaq and then how Jade dominates the room when she walks in.

He then tells Cody to think about something as he ponders his future and calls for Red Velvet to come down to the ring.  Arn says she's got fire and Cody's got fire.

Red takes the mic and says she's fed up with being attacked by Jade.  She says Cody wouldn't ever lay a hand on Jade, but she will.  She's Red Velvet and she's gonna stir Jade's b**ch ass up.

We then get a video package to promote the wedding of Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford next week.  Miro reminds us that he is bringing Charles the Butler with him.

When we get back from commercial, Hangman Adam Page is on his way to the ring.  And his screen intro reminds us he is accompanied by crippling emotional baggage.

In the ring already is Ryan Nemeth, not Ziggler.

Adam Page vs Ryan Nemeth

Ryan goes for a leg as the bell rings. Page gets to the ropes for a break and the match resets.  They lock up and follow up with running the ropes and Page ends it with a boot to Ryan.  They trade chops in the corner and when Ryan shows up that he's smarter than Page to the crowd, Page is able to grab and pop him a good one in the head.

Page stomps him down in the corner and then tosses him out of the ring.  Page hits a flying cross body onto Ryan outside the ring.  Page tosses him back in the ring.  Page tries to hit Ryan in the corner, and Ryan dodges and is able to hit a drop kick on Page and cover for a one count.  Matt Hardy comes to the ringside to watch the match as Ryan keeps an arm bar on Page.

They get to their feet and they trade strikes, go into the ropes and when Page comes off the ropes, Ryan grabs a neck breaker, and gyrates his hips before dropping it.  Ryan covers for a two count. Hardy is cheering on Page as Page is whipped into the turnbuckle and comes out with a series of clotheslines on Ryan.  Page then hits Ryan with a spinebuster.

Page continues to hit clotheslines and then covers Ryan for a two count.  Page picks Ryan up and Ryan fights his way free.  Ryan is able to hit Page with a spike DDT, and Ryan stalled at the top of the move, showboating. Ryan charges into Page in the corner and Page is able to fight back.  Page escapes out the back of a suplex and takes Ryan down with a discus fist.  Page setup for and then hits the buckshot lariat and Page covers for the three.

Your winner: Hangman Adam Page

Hardy starts to walk to the back and Page calls him to the ring. Tony Schiavone heads to the ring to talk to the both of them.  Hardy says he doesn't want to create a scene and was to be in Page's corner and support him.  Hardy has been concerned with Page as he seems lost and conflicted.  He says he knows how much love he had for the Elite and he didn't deserve it.  Hardy says he doesn't want anything from him, and he is a good person and deserved to be happy.  He says that he sees that Page is dressing in the hallway and he can dress in Hardy's dressing room.  Tony says Page should take advantage of that.

After another round of commercials, FTR with Tully Blanchard are on their way to the ring. We get a video package explaining why the stipulation has been put into place.  Next out is Jurassic Express.  Marko Stunt has a shoulder wrapped and they send Marko to the back.

Dax Harwood vs Jungle Boy with Luchasaurus handcuffed to Cash Wheeler and Tully Blanchard.

They start with a collar and elbow tie up and Dax pushes JB back to the corner.  They break and jack jaws before going back to the match.  Dax locks on a head lock and JB takes him over with a hip toss.  They lock up again and Dax takes JB down with a headlock.  JB rolls over and gets a one count and they get to their feet.  They run the ropes and Dax hits a shoulder tackle. They run the ropes and JB tries to lock on the snare trap, but Dax gets to the ropes for a break.  Dax stays outside the ring until JB tosses him back in.

They start for a Greco-Roman knuckle lock but Dax kicks JB instead.  He takes JB to the corner and they attack each other with chops.  The chops end with Dax hitting JB in the midsection with a knee.  They run the ropes, and Dax tosses JB to the corner, and  gets out of the way to that Dax's charge to end up through the ropes into the post.  JB is able to take control and attack the injured shoulder.  Dax is able to toss JB into the ropes and pop JB with an uppercut.

Dax locks on a headlock, and JB uses it to suplex Dax and then clothesline him out of the ring. JB goes for a baseball slide, and Dax uses the momentum to slide JB into the barricade. We go to picture in picture as Dax works over JB outside the ring.  JB is tossed back in the ring and Dax keeps up the attack.

When we get back from commercial, Dax is holding JB down with a headlock.  JB gets to his feet and twists to get his head until Dax' jaw and drop down, causing Dax to break the hold.  They struggle to their feet and JB pop Dax in the face.  Dax grabs JB and tosses him to the corner and delays following up.

When Dax does go in for an attack, JB takes him down with a pair of elbow strikes.  JB goes to the top and Dax is able to knock him down.  Dax climbs up and hits a super plex.  Dax covers for a two count. Dax is up first and goes at JB with boots.  JB struggles to his feet and goes face to face with Dax and then attacks with strikes. Dax tries to toss JB, who is able to land on his feet. They trade blows until Dax drops him with a clothesline.

Dax tries to set up for a pedigree power bomb and JB reverses it and holds Dax for a two count. Dax is able to hit a slingshot into a Liger bomb for a two count.  Dax takes a while to get up and press the attack and he set up for a Dragon suplex and JB drops to his knees to escape, hits a backstabber and a pair of suplexes. Dax grabs the rope and hits a back elbow to block the suplex. JB comes off the ropes with a clothesline and they take a pair of swings at each other and Dax hits a DDT and covers for a two count.  Dax picks up JB and sets him on the top.  JB fights back with slaps and tosses Dax off the top.  JB leaps onto Dax, Dax rolls through for a two count and JB reverses for a two count. JB leaps onto Dax's shoulders and Dax rolls down for a two count, and JB reverses for another two count.  JB leaps onto Dax for a crucifix and gets a two count before Dax reverses for another two count.

Dax takes JB down and goes for a double leg for the pin, gets a two and JB bridges up. They struggle to see who will get the backslide. Dax breaks free, hits JB with a knee and rolls him up for a two count, and JB reverses it for another two count. JB is able to lock on the snare trap.  Cash and Tully and reach to help, but Luchasaurus holds them back as Dax taps out.

Your winner: Jungle Boy

After the match as the cuffs are taken off, Tully loads up with power, tosses it in Luchasaurus;s face and Cash shoves him into the post./  Cash grabs JB and attacks him as Tully holds JB in place.  They hits JB with a slingshot suplex and as Luchasaurus comes into the ring, FTR holds him up and Tully leaps off the turnbuckle for the spike piledriver.  They handcuff Luchasaurus to the ropes and cut the horns off of his mask.  As they start to cut his hair, Marko Stunt, SCH and Top Flight come to the ring to drive them off.

After another batch of commercials, we go to Team Taz's response to Sting and Darby Allen. Taz starts to speak, but Brian Cage and Ricky Starks see that someone is set up to sell Sting and Darby Allin T-shirts. Team Taz beat up the vendors and they tear apart the outside display of shirts.  Taz then says Ricky Starks and Brian Cage will  beat their ass in the street fight.

Back in the arena, Britt Baker and Rebel are on their way to the ring. Next to the ring is Shanna. Not the She Devil.

Britt Baker vs Shanna

They lock up and Britt turns it into an arm bar.  Shanna reverses it and Baker works herself free and hits a hip toss, but Shanna grabs the arm quickly and keeps control. They work the arm bar until Shanna takes down Baker. Baker is up and drives her to the corner and then punches Shanna after the break.  They go back to arm bars and Shanna takes Baker down twice with arm drags and then an enzuigiri. Shanna goes for a drop kick as Baker sits against the ropes, but Rebel helps Baker out fo the way and Shanna goes to the floor.

Rebel distracts Shanna so that Baker can attack Shanna from behind and she keeps up the attack on the floor.  We go to picture in picture and Baker keeps control on the small screen.

When we come back, they are running the ropes and Baker swings and misses a strike on Shanna, who is able to slam Baker a pair of times and then takes Baker down with a clothesline and a two count. Baker is able to block a double arm underhook and kicks Shanna in the midsection.  She then hits Shanna with an alligator roll and uses a crucifix to roll up Shanna for a two count.  Baker hits a snap swinging neckbreaker and covers for a two count.

Baker goes to Rebel and gets her glove.  Baker starts to set up for the lock jaw and Shanna rolls her up for a two count.  Shanna then hits a leaping stunner and as Baker leans against the ropes Shana hits a drop kick.  She pulls Baker up and starts to set up for the tiger suplex, but Baker reverses it and hooks on the lack jaw as Shanna taps out.

Your winner: Britt Baker

Baker stomps on Shanna's head and then hits a curb stomp on Shanna.  She hooks in the lock jaw a second time and Thunder Rosa hits the ring.  Rebel and Baker take off and Rose taunts them at ringside and Baker and Rebel escape through the crowd.

Backstage a camera crew has caught Sammy and MJF talking.  MJF says he did not tell Wardlow to get involved in the match last week and he docked Wardlow's page.  Sammy says that everyone else is fooled, but not him. MJF asks Sammy if he wants to play it this way and Sammy says he is not playing and MJF leaves.

The announcers run down the card for next week's Beach Break. They then send us on a commercial break.

In the back, Dasha is with the Good Brothers and the Young Bucks are together for five years.  The Good Brothers discuss that they will beat up Pac, Rey Fenix and Jon Moxley. The Bucks are fine with it as long as Don Callis isn't there.  Kenny shows up and says he and the Bucks need to talk, and Don Callis shows up with a bandage on his head and Kenny starts asking why they got physical with Don.

The Bucks music hits and they head to the ring.  Next out are the Good Brothers. The Dark Order are next, and their entire group comes to the stage.
