WWE ADDRESSING COVID, HOW WAS GOLDBERG MAD AT DREW AND NOT RANDY, HOW BIG MEN ARE USED IN AEW AND MORE

You recently answered my question regarding AEW and too many factions.  As a follow up I’d like to ask about big men in AEW.  In my opinion they have too many big monsters that are basically doing nothing.  Obviously you don’t want them all at the top because then you’re booking like WWE, but shouldn’t one or two of them be firmly in the AEW world title picture?  I mean how many times is Brian Cage gonna lose to guys 100 lbs or more smaller than him?

Yes, absolutely.  Mike Epsenhart and I talk all the time about how AEW books their big guys as being small.  For instance, I love Luchasaurus but he should never do topes against small guys in my opinion.  His size difference should preclude that.  Now if he was taking on Wardlow, sure do it because that is something you would do against a guy your size.  As for Cage, I couldn’t hate how they booked that match last week any more than I do.

So Drew McIntyre has Covid, and after months of WWE doing everything to deny Covid’s existence on their television, what’s your opinion of WWE (Vince in particular) letting Drew acknowledge the elephant in the room and do a full Covid PSA on Raw about wearing your mask and being socially distant?   And just make myself clear, if this question sounds cynical, I’m all about what Drew said in that promo, we should wear our masks and be take this seriously until enough people get vaccinated.

I am glad that they finally did it.  It’s long, long overdue.  To me, anyone with a platform should be telling the masses that they need to take the virus seriously.  From the top down, the national approach will change tomorrow when the new President takes office, as he has made addressing the pandemic a priority.  I hope everyone does what’s right.  It’s the only way we will ever get back to normal, and that’s what we all want.

Does WWE realize how stupid they look having Randy Orton disrespect the legends, have Triple H fight Orton FOR the legends, and then show us Goldberg wanting to fight Drew McIntyre because he thought he disrespected the legends?  Do they want us to think Goldberg is senile?

I got nothing but unless Goldberg is senile, yep he does look stupid.

With Drew McIntyre testing positive for covid, why is Ric Flair on TV?

All I can say is that given Flair’s health issues, the last thing I would do is put him in that environment.  People that have had the health issues he has had, combined with his age, would preclude me from bringing him in until he was vaccinated.

I saw a report on Deadline that the NBA experienced a precipitous decline in ratings for their Christmas regular season opening games to about 3.74 million viewers, while Smackdown had 3.3 million viewers on Christmas. Wrestling dominates social media and many mainstream outlets promote wrestling on their web pages. Next, WWE often out draws many NBA regular season games as well. Also, with 9 hours (11 hours if you include Impact) of primetime wrestling programming on network and cable TV, is the wrestling industry as a whole considered healthy?

The caveat for the Smackdown rating was a huge lead in for the New Orleans Saints game, where Alvin Kamara was going for an NFL record.  With that said, right now yes, the business is healthy.  AEW and WWE have long term TV deals that ensure that they will stay profitable.  Down the road?  To be determined.
