TOP 5 WWE COUPLES WHO WERE TOGETHER IN REAL LIFE

By Kendall Jenkins on 2021-01-13 10:48:00

One thing guaranteed about signing up to a dating site is there will be a good chance of meeting someone sharing your interests. These matchmaking outlets are all about compatibility. If you’re a WWE wrestling fan, keeping an eye out for individuals who have listed a similar interest in their profile will present opportunities for engaging in compelling online conversations. And if you’re looking for additional topics to help you break the ice, how about this: the top five WWE couples who were together outside the ring as well as inside. Dating specialists from oldcooldates compiled a list for you so you can have an excellent conversation starter with another WWE wrestling fan.

Rusev and Lana

Rusev, the first Bulgarian to appear in WWE, has been a controversial figure. Despite playing a villain when he joined the SmackDown brand in 2017, his declaration that “every day was Rusev day” endeared him with fans. But before then, he attracted attention when he adopted Florida-born Lana as his social ambassador. That Lana had spent her formative years in pre-independence Latvia gave rise to the media likening the couple to the Soviet pairing Ivan and Ludmilla Drago from the movie Rocky IV. Although there has been speculation about the apparent on/off nature of their relationship, in real life they were married in 2016. Their union was influenced by their trainer Dustin Rhodes, who suggested Lana work with Rusev in the first place as she already spoke fluent Russian.

C M Punk and A J Lee

Also a renowned Mixed Martial Arts exponent and commentator, C M Punk is the longest-reigning WWE champion of the 21st-century, having held this position for 434-days. He was first introduced to Illinois-born A J Lee when they were pitched together by a WWE storyline back in 2013. They were engaged the following year, eventually tying the knot in the summer. Lee had established a public persona based on characters described as ‘mentally unstable.’ In real life, Punk was fired by WWE on what should have been a gloriously happy occasion, an event that caused him to become disillusioned with professional wrestling. Lee also parted company with WWE and wrestling in general. But few observers would discount the possibility of the duo working together in a backstage or commentating capacity.

The Miz and Maryse

Although his initial claim to fame was as an American reality TV contestant, Michael Mizanin signed to WWE and began performing under the Raw brand as The Miz. He got to know former Canadian model Maryse Oullet in 2006, and they began dating, becoming engaged in 2013. Since tying the knot in The Bahamas, the couple has two children, and former WWE fans can keep up with their antics via their reality TV show, Miz & Mrs.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon

New Hampshire-born Triple H is known as one of the greatest exponents of WWE. Stephanie McMahon is WWE’s chief brand officer, coming from a longstanding wrestling family. They began dating as part of a storyline, but romance developed outside the charged ring environment. This relationship has endured, as fans can see from regular social media posts.

The Undertaker and Michelle McCool

To describe The Undertaker as a legend of WWE is something of an understatement. He has been the world heavyweight champion no less than seven times. Michelle McCool is a twice WWE Divas champion, and twice WWE female champion. Despite the 15-year age difference, there was clearly chemistry when their paths first crossed, and they eventually married in 2010. McCool loves posting Instagram images of the happy couple, revealing The Undertaker out of character – endearing this WWE match to their fans even more.
