By Mike Johnson on 2020-12-28 21:04:00

Craig Tello, who co-wrote Daniel Bryan's excellent autobiography and held the position of Senior Vice President, Programming and Media Operations for World Wrestling Entertainment announced earlier today via his LinkedIn.com account that he had taken a position with video game producer Electronic Arts (EA)

"Days left in this year of infamy and I’m focused not just on a new “chapter,” but a whole new “book” in 2021. I am elated to share that I have joined Electronic Arts (EA) as its new head of marcom & content strategy within competitive gaming.  Very, very grateful to be nestled within a senior leadership team filled to the brim with progressive, bright innovators. #newyear #esports #gaming #announcement"

Tello was among those furloughed by WWE this past April due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was not brought back to the company.

Tello started with WWE in February 2010 and worked his way up to Director and Executive Editor for the WWE Website.  He became Vice President of Digital Content in July 2015 and ascended to the position of Vice President, Digital & Social Content in March 2017.   In his final role as Senior Vice President, Programming and Media Operations, he was overseeing over twenty platforms for the company, including the WWE Network.

Electronic Arts produced a number of WCW video games in the 1990s.
