What do you think WWE’s next TV deals will be like?
I have no idea, literally none. I have watched the broadcast business change in a big way this year. Sure, it’s partly due to the pandemic but it’s also due to the fact that more and more people are cutting the cable cord. Younger people especially want content that they can consume on their devices, on their schedule. How that will affect broadcast and cable TV almost four years from now? I can’t even begin to guess at that. It will be very interesting to follow.
Do you think Disney Plus would have any interest in adding a wrestling show?
Disney Plus has done a great job rolling out their service. Last week they announced a bunch of new Marvel/Star Wars content coming to the service. I don’t see them reaching out for wrestling.
I watched Tyler Bate’s return last week and was reminded how great he is. What do you think Vince McMahon would do with him if he came up to the main roster?
I am fairly confident he would misuse him. Something just tells me he would put him in a tag team with Shorty G, or something like that.
Do you think Tony Khan is living out his inner wrestling fan by playing a character now?
I would guess he is. He’s a long time fan and he is the one making the decision to put himself on TV, so he must want to do it.
