PROPS TO THE UNDERTAKER, INDEPENDENT CONTRACTING, BEST PART OF MY JOB AND MORE

What is the best part of your job?

Honestly?  It’s the fact that people will pay their hard earned money to support what we do here.  Anyone can start a website and give away content for free.  When people go into their wallet to support a site?  That is special and I appreciate it.  The people that pay to support their site via their Elite subscriptions are the folks that allow us to to do what we do here and they are the best part of this job to me, by far.

I felt so bad for UT last night; he deserved so much better. All that schmaltz, bad crowd recordings, and all the lost opportunities for a great sendoff…just washed away. Such a shame. It could have been so much more. And didn’t VKM look horrible? I don’t get what was the point of all those stars in the ring? Even without AJ Styles (because of UT’s last match). I thought UT would come to the ring and greet everyone. So what was the point of it?  Anyway, with you being so knowledgeable about both sides of wrestling (behind the ring and in front of it), I wondered what you thought of it.

To me the best part, by far, was Undertaker speaking and getting the ceremony that he deserved.  I am with you on the stars appearing, what is the point of bringing them out only for them to disappear without interacting with Taker?  That was really odd to me.  As for Vince, here’s my take.  I get that getting older sucks (I know, I am getting older), but I just don’t see the point in a 75 year old man coloring his hair and trying to look 30 years younger than we all know he is.  If Vince came out with his gray hair, he would probably look younger than he really is.  Coloring his hair like that makes him look older to me.  He is 75, he should just accept that.

If Dark Side of the Ring wanted to interview you for one of their shows, would you do it?

I am not a big fan of the series.  I covered most of what they are doing shows on in real time, so there is no need for me to watch it.  Also, I don’t like the negative tone that the series takes.  I am a focus on the positives kind of guy.  Now if they wanted to do something uplifting, I would listen.  But to just talk about negativity?  I don’t have time for that.

Ok, pure speculation here, but how do you think Vince took it when she appeared in the Mandalorian without it being a WWE project?  Granted it was a small role she may never do again in the series, but still this means she actively sought acting work outside of the WWE umbrella...  A little bit more than a Twitch channel don't you think?

Given that WWE made  no mention in promoting it, if I am speculating I am guessing Vince didn’t love her making that appearance.  But me?  I love it. I hope more WWE talents do things like that.  After all, they are independent contractors, right?

Regarding this whole month-long tribute to the Undertaker...Should we take it seriously? Or come Wrestlemania season and/or the next Saudi Arabia show, will Vince simply brush all that aside, call him up, and say ‘I need you pal’, and throw him into a meaningless match with King Corbin or something?

Maybe we should take it as both.  My hope is that Vince will respect that Taker is 55 years old and has given his life to the business and let him be done.  I hope at this point if/when Taker comes back, it's just to chokeslam someone and not work regular matches.  He deserves to call it a career.  He gave everything he had to the business.
