TRIBUTE TO THE TROOPS & NXT TAKEOVER: WARGAMES THIS WEEKEND, LIV MORGAN DOCUMENTARY THOUGHTS AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2020-11-30 09:45:00

Ratings for this past Wednesday's WWE NXT should be released today.

The WWE Network's new documentary on Liv Morgan, Liv Forever, is now streaming.  It's a very good look at Morgan and is in many ways an indictment on WWE's creative process over the last year since there are countless starts and stops for Morgan, including the Riott Squad being split up, the new version of her singles character that went nowhere after vignettes, the Lana-Lashley wedding angle with Liv revealing herself as Lana's lover that again, went nowhere and then ending up back in the Riott Squad with Ruby Riott.  In many ways, it's a profile of someone with a lot of upside who's suffered that upside being staggered by the same company that hired her with the "we have nothing for you" curse.  If you ever wanted to jump into the mouth of madness and see what it's like being a WWE talent trapped in the vortex of WWE's never-ending changes in direction, this is the best accounting for that since CM Punk's DVD documentary Best in the World many years ago.

WWE will be taping the 2020 Tribute to the Troops event inside the Thunderdome this Wednesday 12/2 at 10:30 AM EST.  The show will air this Sunday afternoon 12/6 on FOX (check local listings) with servicemen and women taking part virtually in the Thunderdome audience.  PWInsider.com is seeking reports from the taping.

Set for this week's WWE NXT is Raquel Gonzales vs. Shotzi Blackheart to determine their advantage for the NXT Women's Wargames match at the 12/6 NXT Takeover.

Scheduled for Thursday's edition of Miz & Mrs. on the USA Network - "Maryse prepares for a new movie role.  Mike reunites with his old tag team partner."

Total Bellas returns to E! this Thursday after taking a one week hiatus due to the Thanksgiving holiday, featuring the following plot - "The family packs up and heads to Flagstaff, Ariz., for an eventful "babymoon"; Bryan and Artem stir up trouble in the woods."

NXT UK this Thursday on the WWE Network will feature Alexander Wolfe vs. Joe Coffey as well as a tag team bout featuring Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster vs. The Hunt.

Baron Corbin vs. Murphy is already announced for Friday's Smackdown on FOX.

As noted, this Sunday will feature WWE Tribute to the Troops on FOX and the final NXT Takeover of the year, Wargames, airing live Sunday night on the WWE Network.

To help promote Wargames, the WWE Network has added a collection of Wargames and Rivalries.  They also have sections for Liv Morgan, Classic Triple Threat matches (tying into tonight's Raw) and Steve Austin vs. Vince McMahon.

After Takeover, the WWE Network will debut their 24 documentary on Keith Lee.
