NJPW STRONG REPORT: ROAD TO DETONATION

We are in Los Angeles, California and your announcers are Shigeki Kiyono and Katsuyori Shibata (in Japanese) or Kevin Kelly and Alex Koslov (in English).

Match Number One: Clark Connors (with DKC) versus Logan Riegel (with Sterling Riegel)

They lock up and Riegel with a wrist lock. They lock up and Riegel with a side head lock and take down. They lock up again and Riegel backs Connors into the corner and Riegel with a forearm. Connors with a double leg take down and he turns it into a waist lock. Connors with a reverse chin lock into a head scissors. Riegel escapes the head scissors. They lock up and Connors backs Riegel into the corner. Connors with a chop and Riegel with forearms and a side head lock. Riegel with a side head lock.

Riegel with a shoulder tackle and Connors responds with a shoulder tackle of his own. Connors with chops in the corner followed by a snap mare and chop to the back. Connors gets a near fall. Connors with a rear chin lock and elbow to the bridge of the nose. Connors with a slam and Riegel with a rollup for a near fall. Connors with kicks to Riegel. Connors with a back elbow for a near fall.

Connors with forearms and a suplex for a near fall. Connors with a suplex and he gets a near fall. Connors with a punch and he goes for another suplex but Riegel blocks it. Riegel counters a suplex attempt with a suplex of his own. Connors with a chop and Reigel with a forearm. They go back and forth. Riegel with a back elbow and a rana. Reigel goes to the apron and hits slingblade on the apron.

Riegel goes up top and leaps over Connors and hits a jumping neck breaker for a near fall. Riegel with a codebreaker for a near fall. Connors pushes Riegel away and Riegel moves when Connors charges into the corner. Riegel with a back elbow and a Boston Crab that forces Riegel to tap out.

Winner: Clark Connors

After the match, Connors says that is two in a row for him and now it is DKC’s turn.

Match Number Two: Adrian Quest and Jordan Clearwater versus ACH and Juice Robinson

ACH and Quest start things off and they lock up. Quest with a side head lock. ACH tries to send Quest off the ropes but Quest holds on and takes ACH to the mat. Quest with an elbow and he blocks a kick. ACH with a snap mare and Quest with a rana and drop kick followed by a springboard back elbow for a near fall. Quest with a chop and punch. Quest with an Irish whip and ACH floats over and hits a tilt-a-whirl back breaker for a near fall.

Robinson tags in and he hits a double sledge to the back. Clearwater has some words for Robinson from the apron. Robinson with a delayed vertical suplex and a back senton. Robinson gets a near fall. ACH tags in and he goes up top for a double sledge to the back. ACH with a slam and he gets a near fall. ACH with a kick to the back. ACH with a slam and he tags in Robinson. Robinson goes for a suplex but Quest with knees to escape and he drop kicks Robinson. Clearwater tags in and he hits a clothesline and back elbow. Clearwater with an Irish whip and bulldog followed by a spinebuster for a near fall.

Clearwater misses a boot and Robinson with a flapjack. ACH and Quest tag in and Quest with clotheslines. ACH with an elbow but Quest with La Mistica and he gets a near fall. ACH with an enzuigiri. Quest with a rollup for a near fall. Quest with a super kick and he goes to the turnbuckles but misses a tornado DDT. ACH with a brainbuster for the three count.

Winners: Juice Robinson and ACH

After the match, Juice says that is what this show is all about. He says he hasn’t seen ACH in a while. He says they are veterans and those were two young hot whippersnappers. They pushed us and that is what is all about. Juice says who knows where he would have put Jordan Clearwater if he beat him with a spinebuster.

We go to the cleaning and disinfecting break.

Jeff Cobb says he is looking for redemption on Rust Taylor. Tom Lawlor says he had a goal when he returned to New Japan and he wanted to make an impression. Jeff says Team Lawlor has been a cohesive unit. Jeff says he has a strong team with him. Tom says no one is on his level. He does not care who is on the other team. Cobb says he beat Kratos and he will beat Taylor and Lawlor.

Match Number Three: Tom Lawlor, JR Kratos, Danny Limelight, and Rust Taylor versus Jeff Cobb, Rocky Romero, PJ Black, and Fred Rosser

Team Filthy surrounds the ring and they all enter the ring together and the match starts with everyone pairing off until Cobb and Limelight remain in the ring. Cobb with a forearm and chop. Romero tags in and he punches Limelight. Limelight pie faces Romero and Romero with a clothesline. Romeros gets Limelight up for a suplex and Cobb tags in and gets handed Limelight. Black tags in and he is given Limelight. Not to feel left out, Rosser is tagged in and given Limelight for the delayed vertical suplex. Rosser gets a near fall.

Limelight with kicks and chops but Rosser with a running forearm and seated splash for a near fall. Rosser with a clothesline and elbow drop for a near fall. Rosser with a back breaker and he tosses Limelight aside to tag in Lawlor. Rosser knocks Lawlor off the pron. Lawlor puts Rosser’s leg in the ropes and Lawlor with chops. Rosser with a clothesline. Lawlor chokes Rosser in the ropes and then hits a German suplex.

Kratos tags in and he kicks Rosser. Kratos with another punch but Rosser punches back in the corner. Kratos with a chop. Rosser is sent to the floor and Taylor and Limelight work on Rosser. Kratos suplexes Rosser back into the ring for a near fall. Taylor tags in and snap mares Rosser. Taylor with a seated abdominal stretch. Taylor with a European uppercut and Limelight tags in. Limelight kicks Rosser and gets a near fall.

Limelight kicks Rosser and Kratos tags in. Kratos with forearms to the chest. Rosser and Kratos exchange punches around the ring. Kratos with a waist lock and Rosser with elbows. Black tags in and comes off the ropes with a chop and then hits a series of forearms and a spinning heel kick. Black with a double sledge off the turnbuckles.

Black with a cross body into the corner and then he hits a springboard cross body on Taylor and Kratos. Black with a power bomb to Limelight. Kratos sends Black face first into the mat. Lawlor tags in and he gives Black a German suplex but Black lands on his feet. Romero tags in and he clotheslines Lawlor. Romero with a clothesline and Rosser follows with a running hip strike in the corner. Romero with a clothesline and Black with a cross body into the corner. Romero with a clothesline ad Cobb with an elbow. Romero with another clothesline and Black with a double stomp to the back. Rosser with a seated splash and Cobb with a moonsault. Romero with a back senton for a near fall.

All eight men are in the ring for a moment. Romero with a kick to Lawlor and he goes for Sliced Bread #2. Limielight kicks Romero but Black with a superkick to Limelight. Taylor kicks Black and Cobb with a clothesline to Taylor. Kratos with a flying clothesline to Cobb. Rosser with a rolling elbow to Kratos. Lawlor with an elevated elbow drop to Rosser.

Lawlor puts Romero in the ropes and applies a rear naked choke. Romero with an inside cradle for a near fall. Lawlor with an exploder and he applies the rear naked choke and Romero taps out.

Winners: Tom Lawlor, JR Kratos, Danny Limelight, and Rust Taylor

After the match, Team Filthy is in the back. Lawlor says he knew it. Tom says people are accusing them of being a team that uses a numbers advantage. They are putting their individual goals first. Everyone wants to be a faction but they are the best fighters on the roster.
