AEW'S NEWEST STAR TRADEMARKS NAME

By Mike Johnson & Steven Fernandes on 2020-11-26 12:26:00

On 11/20, Tyler Senerchia applied to trademark "Hook" for goods and services "in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes."

Senerchia debuted on last night's edition of AEW and is indeed the son of former ECW World Champion Taz.  He had been training in secret over the last year, initially under Curt Hawkins and Pat Buck at the Create-A-Pro Academy in New York before heading to Atlanta, where he has been training under Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall.  So, Rhodes' comments about that last night were legitimate.

The Hook ring name is in reference to old time professional wrestlers being "hookers" (as that appears to be his in-ring style) while also obviously making unofficial allusions to Red Hook, Brooklyn, where his father has been billed from for the majority of his career.

Prior to AEW, Senerchia was a standout Lacrosse athlete for Bucknell University and cominof High School, he in the top 100 in the country, was All State and Underarmor All American Underclass:
