LETHAL VS. LSG PURE RULES, EC3 VS. JAY BRISCOE & MORE: ROH TV REPORT

By Anthony Pires on 2020-11-24 10:11:00

Quinn McKay, professional as ever despite the recent beating from Angelina Love and Mandy Leon, welcomes us to tonights show.  Three big matches, kicking things off with a potential main event.

Jay Briscoe vs. ECIII

Before the action commences we get a great video package for this first time ever dream match.  ROH has to be commended for upping their production game.  3-4 minutes of these two stars hurling challenges and warnings (NOT cheap insults) in each other's direction.  Something to keep an eye on:  Jay tells Mark Biscoe he may need to put their ROH tag team title hopes on hold to handle his business.

Ian Riccaboni and Caprice Coleman have tonight's call.

Code on Honor NOT adhered to by Jay.  They lockup and ECIII gives a clean break in the corner.  Another handshake attempt by III and Briscoe shoves him down.  Go behind by Jay into a hammerlock, ECIII escapes via a back elbow.  ECIII will not make eye contact.  Now they're slugging it out, with Jay getting ECIII slumped in the corner.  Jay puts his foot on ECIII's throat.  Referee Todd Sinclair reaches the 5 count and then gets shoved away by Jay Briscoe.  Sinclair calls for the bell.

WINNER: ECIII (via disqualification)

ECIII with a double leg takedown and the two roll around brawling until the ROH Security finally breaks things up.  As things calm down, ECIII offers himself up as a sacrifice.  Jay goes for the Jay Driller but security intervenes and breaks the situation up.  ECIII point blank tells Jay there's no honor in him at all.

Quinn McKay catches up with Jay Briscoe and asks him why he won't adhere to the code of honor.  Jay's answer is pretty clear: "F--- Him!"

We get some comments from LSG talking about the first timehe went to an ROH show in his hometown and saw Jay Lethal.  He was inspired by him, being a local and realized he could be a pro wrestler.  Ten years in, LSG is now on his own and ready to be a leader in the company. I have to say, LSG cut the promo of his life here.  Jay Lethal talks about how he feels so bittersweet about the Pure Rules Tournament.  Despite losing to Tracey Williams, he founf like-minded men wanting to clean up pro wrestling.  Lethan, Jonathan Gresham, Williams and Rhett Titus comprise the Foundation.
