By Kendall Jenkins on 2020-11-22 05:52:00

More than 2 billion people use YouTube all over the world. With this, 40 to 50 million people run YouTube daily, and at least 7 to 8 billion videos on YouTube are watched daily. YouTube channels can not only depend on entertainment content, but you also need to optimize it so that your channel should appear in the top-ranking channels. For this, you need to use the end screen on YouTube. Several platforms provide YouTube end screen templates. You can choose any of them to make your channel placed at the top of YouTube.

What is the end screen?

End Screen is a tool on YouTube that helps the startup channels to push the content forward. It assists content creators to attract a vast population to their channel. It is applied in the last 5 to 20 seconds of any video on YouTube. The end screen is also called the end card of YouTube and brings traffic to any channel. If you put the end screen at the end of your video on YouTube, it makes your video even more attractive.

By applying the end screen, you can link the previous videos to it so that people can visit your channel quickly and watch 2 to 3 videos even if they don't wish to do so. You can also link any product or channel to promote it with the help of the end screen.

How to add an end screen on YouTube?

First of all, log in to the YouTube channel and then go to your videos to save all your made videos. Then open any one of the videos and watch until the pen icon appears in it. And it will take you to the edit screen, where the end screen will be written on the right side.

If you insert a new video, then the option to create a video comes in the top right, click on it, then your video is processed in primary mode. Post it, give the full description of the video, click the add end screen, and then add the previous video and subscribe button.

When you put a video on YouTube, keep in mind that there is an editing screen on the left side, a viewing screen on the right side, and the bottom of the screen appears timeline. Use this guide to get more YouTube likes.

You can put the end screen to the video in these ways:

  1. Select the element from the top left and add them one by one.

  2. Import the previous video and add an end screen to it as well.

  3. Select any one overlay from the given three overlays, and if you want, you can also add an extra element to it.

You can move the element by clicking and dragging from viewer place to place where you want and resizing the element in accordance.

You can take the elements to edit option by selecting it directly from the timeline or by clicking the viewer's element, which will turn the bar in a blue colour denoting selection. In the editing section, you can edit the selected elements such as:

  1. Select the previous video or subscription button which you want to show.

  2. You can change the video's timing manually on the edit section or drag it into the timeline. You can click and drag the bar from the different sections of the video.

  3. You can delete the element that you do not want through the trash icon.

You can select any other channel's video by clicking the choose specific option in the editing section. For searching, you can also use the video title or web address.

In the timeline, you can select the vertical play head by hovering. It appears in the double-headed arrow, and after that, add an end screen and review the video by pressing the spacebar button. After this, save the edited video and proceed to the next process. If the end screen is not working correctly or there is a restriction after it, then scroll down and find the solution to your problems.

What are the restrictions of the end screen on YouTube?

The restrictions of the end screen are as follows:

  • Your end screen should be only 5 to 20 seconds long.

  • To add an external link, you have to follow some rules like your subscription should be at least 1000 and with this, you should have 4000 viewing hours, that too from last year.

  • Before the end screen starts, whatever was playing in the video will disappear, and if you do not want it to disappear, you can also do it.

  • You can put as many as four elements in one turn and not more than that.

  • End screen appears on mobile YouTube, but in the browser, it does not appear.

  • You can't have an end screen on kids' videos.

Conclusion:

Putting an end screen at the end of the video takes your viewers directly to your channel and forces them to watch another or previous video. Only a few elements are available while applying a good end screen, so always choose the element wisely to get the best results. When you set the end screen of your first video, save it by importing the video so that you can save time for the next video. You should always choose your end screen template wisely. Video Creek provides the best end screen templates for YouTube. You can use them to attract more viewers.
