DOUBLE STANDARD WHERE A PODCAST IS CONCERNED IN WWE, KHAN’S BIG SURPRISE, SHAQ IN ECW AND MORE

I just read on your site today that WWE filed to trademark "Bash at the Beach". How is this possible when AEW used it last year? I thought they owned it at one point but thought they gave it up which is why AEW was able to use it?

At the time, Cody Rhodes, as he can now be called, owned the rights but he gave them up so WWE can file for them.  And, Cody can be Cody Rhodes.

I have all sorts of problems with this new Shaq angle in AEW, and it all deals with this new girl they brought in to handle him.  WHO?? I think it'll be awfully hard to bring Shaq in as a heel. They should have gone old school and paired him with someone people already know and despise.  Maybe Taz or Tully?  Arn turns?

Girl can't cut a promo to save her life. I'm pretty sure she was getting nothing but X-Pac heat.  Even from Cody.

It was not optimal to debut Jade in that role since she had no standing with the audience.  I think that was a miscalculation for sure.  It will be interesting to see how the crowd reacts to Shaq.  He may be the heel due to the fact that he is the outsider.  Whatever the case, it’s synergy inside of TNT and if Shaq wants to do it, AEW will let him.  I don’t know what to expect out of a 48 year old Shaq but we will find out.

PAC was the big surprise?  Is Tony Khan Dixie Carter?

I think it was a really bad move to tweet what he tweeted.  Any time you set the expectation that high you had better hit it, or it will fall flat.  The other interesting thing is that the ratings didn’t really pop, which I think had to be part of the hope he had when he did the tweet.  I even wonder had it not been the first Dynamite after a PPV if they would have been under last week.  In any event, I hope Khan does a one and done with tweets like that.

Also, I see people who bashed Dixie Carter for doing big surprise tweets praising Tony Khan, even though he did the same thing.  Isn't that a double standard?

If someone bashed Carter for her many similar tweets, they should bash Khan too.  It’s the same thing to me.

So RAW & SD talents can’t be on Twitch or Whatever - but it’s okay for Bruce Prichard to have his podcast?

Funny how that goes isn’t it?  Prichard negotiated it into his deal, so he can do it.  But here is what I find really interesting.  Prichard is an employee of the company and he can do an outside podcast.  The wrestlers are “independent contractors” yet they have to give up their Twitch.  In what world does that make sense?
