SHAQ IS COMING TO AEW, IDENTITY OF NEW FEMALE TALENT, KHAN ON DYNAMITE AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2020-11-12 00:29:00

AEW began teasing a storyline for Cody Rhodes and NBA legend Shaq tonight, something that Shaq has teased since signing a new deal with Turner Sports. Shaq was at Full Gear over the weekend.

PAC officially returned at the end of Dynamite from being away seemingly forever due to the pandemic.  One would think this means he will being staying Stateside for some time as the quarantine requirements to travel back and forth would be insane to regularly deal with.  He was immediately positioned to feud with Eddie Kingston over The Lucha Brothers.  Pac vs. Blade was announced for next week.

AEW President Tony Khan commented on last night's Dynamite:

One source stated the "balance of power line" that was Tweeted out by Khan yesterday was not in direct relation to a surprise that would have gone down on Dynamite, but that the show would be the beginning of a new chapter that was the "start of a huge shift."  It is easily understandable why fans were expecting something massive at the end since pro wrestling fans expect something massive when they are led to believe something massive is going to go down.  We'll see what comes in the weeks ahead as Khan promised "indelible moments."

The new female talent who debuted tonight is Jade Cargill, 28, who has a college basketball background and has been training as a professional wrestler of late.  Cargill has been seen at ringside at AEW events of late and is also a fitness trainer who has dabbled in some cosplay, most notably as Storm from The X-Men.  She also has a certified master’s in child psychology.    In the storylines, Cargill was representing Shaq, with the idea that he was angry at Cody for describing himself as a "Giant Killer."  Brandi Rhodes had a hell of a promo on Cargill on Dynamite.

There was a huge rainstorm that hit Daily's Place in Jacksonville right before they were to go on the air last night so there was a mad dash to get everything TV ready.

The filming of the Elite Deletion match at the Hardy Compound for Full Gear took an estimated 9-10 hours.

There will be obviously be a big vignette coming next week based on the Inner Circle in Las Vegas.  I am wondering if this means more Rat Pack stuff, perhaps an Ocean's 11 parody?
