We take a look back at last week’s episode of MLW featuring CM Punk versus Raven.
Your host is Joey Styles.
We go to the back where the Maximos are talking. They pour something on the floor and then enter the Samoan Island Tribe’s locker room. The Samoan Island Tribe follow and walk on tacks and are hit with chairs by the Maximos.
Match Number One: Joel Maximo and Jose Maximo versus Samu and Mana
Mana sits down on a sunset flip attempt and Jose with a moonsault for a near fall. Joel and Jose with kicks to Mana and a double bulldog. Mana and Samu fight each other and then Jose and Joel go for baseball slides but miss. Samu with a head butt to Jose and he runs him into the stage. Samu misses a splash against the stage.
Mana with a reverse side suplex and a diving head butt to Jose. Samu with a back heel kick that sends Joel over the guardrails into the crowd. Mana with a suplex to Jose. Joel is sent into the stage by Samu. Mana with a uranage to Jose. Joel is sent groin first into the ring post. Joel is sent into the guardrail on the stage and then to the back.
Samu chops Joel in the back and follows with forearms as they fight outside. Joel with a punch and he gets back into the building to leave Samu outside. Back in the ring, Mana with a head butt to Jose. Mana with a chop in the corner. Mana with an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner. Mana with a slam and back senton. Joel hits Mana with a chair many times and then he hits a Van Daminator for the three count.
Winners: Jose Maximo and Joel Maximo
CM Punk says that you have changed over the last few years. You dress like a Yuppie on vacation. You have lost your edge. You are not the Raven you used to be. Maybe you have been making 6 figures for too long. How does the underground hero maintain his character by making six figures? All of the drugs and alcohol and your primadonna attitude isn’t what brought you to the dance. Maybe you walk onto my side. Maybe you find straight edge. Maybe you find out why straight edge means I am better than you.
Simon Diamond asks if it is a joke that they will not face Dr. Death and The Sandman. We will face them any time and any place under one condition. CW Anderson says they get to call the shot. You have to face us in singles matches. If you beat both of us, you will get a tag title shot.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Joey Styles mentions that Da Hit Squad have signed with MLW and they will debut in Orlando.
Joey mentions that Paul London will not be in Orlando this weekend to face Jerry Lynn.
We go to Jerry Lynn and Christopher Daniels with The Sinister Minister.
Daniels tells Jerry that went perfectly. Jerry says Paul London is afraid to face him and he took care of Kid Romeo. Daniels says this is just the first step. James Mitchell tells Jerry that he feels he is the most amazing technical wrestler. He says that him and Christopher Daniels and him are twin brothers of the same evil mother. He talks about the new side we have seen from Jerry. He suggests a meeting to discuss things.
Homicide joins Joey and Homicide pushes Joey away. He says he is the future of hybrid wrestling. He will take things to the extreme. He says someone will be dropped on their head and will become just another victim.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Josh Daniels says he will destroy the opposition in Orlando.
Joey mentions that Josh will be making his MLW debut in Orlando.
Joey runs through the card for the show in Orlando.
Raven says he cannot believe that he allowed CM Punk and Michael Shane to drop toe hold him onto a chair not once, but twice. It is his move. Some says he has lost his edge and that he is no longer dark, scary, and dangerous. Let me dispel you of that notion. I have chosen a partner, a man who is timid and he would never associate with for the simple fact that he will have to be twice the man he ever was with him as a partner.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Joey mentions that Nosawa will be in Orlando.
We go to Kenzo Suzuki. He says that a warrior does not wiggle and he will destroy him.
We go to the Extreme Horsemen. Corino says the World Champion has been crowned and the tag champions are here. He said that the Extreme Horsemen would dominate wrestling. We have all the gold. It doesn’t matter. Bring everything you got because these Horsemen rule pro wrestling. Fort Lauderdale has been very very good to us. Simon Diamond says they haven’t hit their stride yet. We haven’t begun to lay claim to what we would do. We don’t have to tell you how great we are.
We go to the top ten list.
We go to Mike Awesome. He says the Horsemen will go down because of what you did to me in Fort Lauderdale. You have awakened a giant and I am pissed off. I am coming after you Corino.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Los Maximos say that they have new footage of them beating up the Samoan Island Tribe. They mention that they signed an open contract against any team.
Match Number Two: Kenzo Suzuki versus Norman Smiley
They lock up and Smiley with a wrist lock. Suzuki with a reversal and clothesline. They lock up and Suzuki with a side head lock and shoulder tackle.
We go to commercial.
We are back and they lock up. Smiley with a hammer lock into a cravate and take down. Smiley with a kick to the back and Norman dances around. They lock up and Suzuki with a knee and chops. Smiley with a chop and they go back and forth. Suzuki kicks Smiley in the corner. Suzuki with a back elbow. Suzuki with chops and kicks. Suzuki goes after the referee and then he Irish whips Smiley over the turnbuckles to the floor. Suzuki chops Smiley against the guardrails and connects with a knee. Suzuki with an Irish whip into the guardrails.
Smiley with forearms. Suzuki kicks Smiley and then Smiley blocks a kick and tries for an ankle lock but Suzuki gets to the ropes. Smiley with head butts and Suzuki punches Smiley. Suzuki with a jumping knee to the head. Suzuki goes for a Boston Crab but Smiley blocks it. Suzuki gets a few near falls and then he applies the Boston Crab. Smiley gets to the ropes. Smiley with a back elbow and clotheslines. Smiley with a Smiley Slam and he connects with a forearm and it is time for the Big Wiggle.
Smiley with a rollup for a near fall. Smiley with a head butt and punches. Suzuki with a boot to the head but Smiley with a Fujiwara arm bar. Suzuki gets to the ropes to break the hold. Suzuki with a spear. Suzuki with a belly-to-back suplex and a Shining Wizard for the three count.
Winner: Kenzo Suzuki
