THOUGHTS ON RAW UNDERGROUND, THE AGE GAP BETWEEN MURPHY AND AALYAH MYSTERIO, OPTIONS FOR WASTED STARS AND MORE

No Raw Underground this week. Has it run its course already? What are your thoughts on the concept and if you don't think it was working, what do you think could be done to improve it?

When you sent this, it was due to WWE having issues at the CWC and not wanting to mix the talents.  As I type this on Sunday I don’t know if it will be back or not but frankly, I don’t see the point.  Let’s look at what the concept is.  It’s the place where guys fight for real.  That means the rest of Raw is where they don’t.  I get that they were trying something new but I didn’t see the point in doing it.

Why is everyone making a big deal about Murphy Mysterio’s daughter angle? Who cares if he’s 32 and she’s 19 considering both are adults it’s not really a big deal. If she was underage then it’s different but she’s not so I don’t get the issue.

I didn’t even know about this until Eps told me about it on our show.  I don’t read what that kind of stuff for just this reason.  First, it’s a TV show and they are acting so anyone taking it seriously really needs to get a pet or something.  Beyond that, as you said, they are both adults and not for nothing, a lot of people have an age gap with their significant other.  The people complaining about this are the kind of people that would complain about anything.  They aren’t worth wasting your time on.

More and more, we are seeing NXT stars be completely wasted on the main roster.  Do you think there will be a situation where NXT inadvertently becomes a farm system to the Indies? After all, a released wrestler has options beyond WWE.

They do?  Where?  Indies are hardly running and when they do, only the top names can make a good living as the business just isn’t as popular as it used to be.  Now will those talents go to New Japan or AEW or ROH or MLW?  Those are options.  But just leaving and thinking the indies are the answer for them?  I don’t think that is a good plan.

Is Angie Mysterio related to Bayley?

Nope.

Do the wrestlers working AEW shows get opportunities to train or work with the AEW veterans beyond their one or two matches a week?  There are a lot of potential in some of those wrestlers, and with very few shows, they just need the reps.

Right now they only get to work when they come in for TVs.  I know that the company wants to develop the younger talents and I think that they will, either themselves or with the help of indie promotions, when the pandemic ends.
