Mike Awesome says tonight it is him against the number one champion in the world, Kojima. I will show you what MLW is all about because I will walk out of there as the number one heavyweight champion in the world.
Your host is Joey Styles and we are in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Joey mentions tonight’s main event for the MLW Championship.
Christopher Daniels takes the mic and he says he hates to disappoint you but your services are no longer needed when it comes to Jerry Lynn. Jerry has opened his eyes and he has seen the light. Now he understands the gospel according to the Fallen Angel. Let me introduce you to a man whose mind is on the right track. The Evil F’n Show Jerry Lynn.
Jerry takes the mic and says you can chant Jerry all you want but he doesn’t give a f*** any more. Where were you people when I was kicking RVD’s ass? It just goes to show what a bunch of brainwashed corporate mutants you people are. Have a mind of your own. Since I changed my ways, look at what happened. Paul London isn’t here to face me. He has the excuse that his father is in the hospital. Jerry says he missed his brother’s wedding to wrestle. I missed my father’s quadruple bypass to wrestle. I was in Japan when my daughter was born. You can buy into all the crap you hear about someone cancelling to wrestle Jerry Lynn because their father is in the hospital. I never run from a match.
I will take on anyone in the back.
Match Number One: Jerry Lynn (with Christopher Daniels) versus Kid Romeo
Lynn attacks Romeo before the bell and kicks him in the corner. Lynn with a forearm and back elbow. Romeo with a head scissors take down and hip toss followed by a drop kick to send Lynn to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Lynn with a reverse chin lock on Romeo. Romeo with elbows but Lynn with a knee for a near fall. Lynn with a front face lock. Romeo with elbows and a rollup for a near fall. Lynn blocks a kick but Romeo with an enzuigiri and both men are down. Romeo with punches and a clothesline. Romeo with a knee lift and a running neck breaker. Romeo with a bulldog for a near fall.
Romeo with a knee but Lynn with a TKO for a near fall. Romeo escapes a cradle piledriver and hits an Air Raid Crash but Daniels distracts the referee on the apron. Lynn with a low blow and a cradle piledriver for the three count.
Winner: Jerry Lynn
We go to commercial.
We are back and Homicide says he is a renegade. Anybody bring it on July 26th because I will show you the most strong style and hardcore wrestler on the east coast.
We take a look at the Extreme Horsemen.
Simon Diamond says MLW has returned to Fort Lauderdale and so have the horsemen. Mike Awesome walks in front of the camera and Steve Corino has some words for him. Steve says they are confident that he will beat Kojima for the title. Corino says he should be the number one contender. Steve mentions who he has beaten and he says he is not asking for any favors. When you win the title, I would like to be the next contender.
Awesome tells Corino he can be the next contender if he wins, whenever Corino wants as long as Corino leaves the room.
Joey talks about CM Punk and Raven.
Raven is in the back. He mentions CM Punk and CM Punk arrives. Punk says that since Raven hasn’t beaten him before, he won’t get off scot free. Raven asks Punk if he can use any more cliches. Punk tells Raven to stop running.
Raven says CM Punk will be on the receiving end of the Raven Effect.
Joey talks about Los Maximos and the Samoan Island Tribe.
We go to the Samoan Island Tribe.
They are getting better and meaner. The bottom line is that flattery will get you nowhere. You messed with the wrong team one too many times.
We go to commercial.
We are back and it is time to take a look at the MLW Top Ten rankings.
Simon Diamond asks if Fort Lauderdale is ready for the new revolution known as the Extreme Horsemen. Corino stops them and he sees someone on the phone and he tells the person that they will call him back. Corino asks for him to go with them to Kojima.
Corino tells Kojima that all of them think that Kojima will beat Mike Awesome tonight. Corino says after he beats Awesome, he wants the next shot at the title.
CW points out that since Kojima speaks English they don’t need the translator.
Kojima and Corino agree to a future match for the title.
We go to commercial.
Match Number Two: Mike Awesome versus Satoshi Kojima for the MLW World Championship
Awesome pushes Kojima and Kojima pushes back. Awesome with a kick and Kojima with a shoulder tackle but Awesome stays on his feet. Kojima tries again with the same result. Awesome cannot move Kojima on a shoulder tackle. Awesome and Kojima exchange chops. Awesome with a kick and Kojima with a shoulder tackle that sends Awesome to the floor.
Kojima with a pescado onto Awesome. Awesome Irish whips Kojima into the guardrails and then Kojima back drops Awesome into the crowd. Awesome drops Kojima on the guardrails. Awesome Irish whips Kojima into the guardrails.
We move ahead in the match and they are back in the ring and Awesome hits Kojima in the back with a chair and then he hits Kojima in the ribs with the chair. Awesome with an Irish whip and he hits a splash into the corner with the chair. Awesome with an Irish whip and he charges into the corner with the chair but Kojima gets his boot up. Kojima hits Awesome with the chair in the head and back. Kojima with a kick and he sends Awesome into the turnbuckles. Kojima with chops followed by an Irish whip and forearm. Kojima goes up top and hits an elbow drop for a near fall.
Awesome and Kojima exchange chops again. Kojima with a forearm and Awesome with a clothesline but Kojima stays on his feet. Kojima with a German suplex. Kojima with a neck breaker for a near fall. Awesome with a clothesline and sit out Awesome Bomb for a near fall. Awesome goes to the turnbuckles and hits a frog splash for a near fall. Kojima stops Awesome on the turnbuckles and Kojima sets for a superplex and hits it. Kojima gets a near fall. Kojima with a Shining Wizard for a near fall.
Awesome hot shots Kojima and Awesome hits a running Awesome Bomb for a near fall. Awesome goes to the floor and looks under the ring for a table and he brings it into the ring. Awesome sets for a power bomb through the table but the referee is knocked down. Kojima with a cutter but the referee is out. Kojima with a clothesline but the referee is still out and cannot make the count. Kojima notices the referee is still down.
Kojima with a kick to Awesome but Awesome with a spear. Awesome with a power bomb through the table for the three count.
Winner: Mike Awesome (new champion)
After the match, Awesome celebrates his victory.
We return to Joey Styles but he points out that Steve Corino is on his way to the ring.
Steve Corino takes the mic and he enters the ring.
Corino says once again, history is made in the Sunshine State. On behalf of the Extreme Horsemen, Major League Wrestling, and the fans in Fort Lauderdale, Corino congratulates Mike Awesome on becoming the new MLW World Champion. Steve says they discussed this in the back before and he asked Awesome if he was the number one contender for the title. I deserve to be the World Champion and you promised I would be the first challenger. You promised me I could have that title match at any time. That World Title Match should be right now.
Match Number Three: Mike Awesome versus Steve Corino for the MLW World Championship
Corino punches Awesome and then he kicks Awesome. Corino sends Awesome to the floor and into the guardrail. Corino goes under the ring and gets a chair and hits Awesome in the back. Corino punches Awesome and then he throws a chair at Awesome’s head. Corino punches Awesome again and then he sets up a table. Corino is Irish whipped into the crowd by Awesome.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Awesome comes off the turnbuckles with a chair and hits Corino in the head but Corino kicks out at two. Awesome with a splash but Corino with chops and punches. Awesome goes under the ring and he gets a table. Awesome with a punch and clothesline. Awesome sets for an Awesome Bomb through the table but Corino escapes. Corino with a low kick. Awesome avoids a super kick and Awesome with an Awesome Bomb through the table.
Simon Diamond and CW Anderson hit the ring and they stop Awesome. Corino with a super kick for the three count.
Winner: Steve Corino (new champion)
After the match, Corino has a mic. He tells Fort Lauderdale this is reality. Tonight begins the Rise of the Renegades and it is led by the Extreme Horsemen.
