DEMOLITION IN THE WWE HOF, WHERE IS BOBBY ROODE, THE ECW DVDS YOU WILL NEVER SEE, LARGER RINGS HURTING CRUISERWEIGHTS? AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2020-09-11 10:00:00

Where has Bobby Roode been?

In Canada, unable to perform for WWE due to the borders being closed as a result of COVID-19.

Now that the concussion lawsuit is over, do you see Demolition making it into the WWE Hall of Fame?

One day.  To a lot of WWF fans, they were one of the definitive teams of the 1980s. I can see WWE one day reaching out to make it happen.  We live in a world where Ultimate Warrior and Bruno Sammartino went in and the bad blood was certainly worse in those cases!

Do you believe that the size of the WWE ring is the reason the Cruiserweights/Light Heavyweights never caught on?  I know WCW and ECW used a smaller ring than WWE does?

No, I think the only thing preventing the smaller talents from getting over has been WWE's disinterest in giving them time and attention to the style.  Rey Mysterio is smaller than most Cruiserweights and has gotten over many times in many places, including inside WWE's bigger rings so I don't see that as the issue.

Why does WWE even keep 205 Live around?  It's down to 30 minutes and it runs in circles.

We are told the company derives revenue from the series being on Hulu and other platform, so that's why.

We know you worked on the ECW DVD line.  Were there any DVDs that didn't come out?

Yes.  There were DVDs for the Best of Taz and the Best of Rob Van Dam in production that were never finished or released.  Pioneer Home Video commissioned me to script them and they were turned in and I know that production and editing on the RVD one did take place.
