WWE NXT UK REPORT

This week we will see three matches with wrestlers of WWE UK who wrestled over on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.

Alexander Wolfe introduces our first match.

He says this is a match that is clash of styles. He reminds us that the mat is sacred. Two of the best international talents in NXT met. One of the best junior heavyweights in KUSHIDA and the current NXT UK Champion, the Ring General WALTER.

Match Number One: KUSHIDA versus WALTER in a Non Title Match (from NXT October 9, 2019)

They lock up and WALTER with a hip toss.  KUSHIDA with kicks to the leg before locking up.  WALTER picks up KUSHDA and drops him on the top rope and sends him to the apron.  WALTER pats KUSHIDA on the head and KUSHIDA goes for the leg.  WALTER with a front face lock.  KUSHIDA with a reversal and then he floats over and pats WALTER on the head.  KUSHIDA with a chop and WALTER charges at him and goes to the apron.  KUSHIDA with a drop kick to send WALTER to the floor. KUSHIDA with more drop kicks to keep WALTER outside of the ring.

We go to commercial.

We are back and KUSHIDA with a kick and Flatliner into the turnbuckles.  KUSHIDA slips on the ropes and WALTER kicks KUSHIDA.  WALTER with a single leg crab on KUSHIDA.  WALTER with forearms across the chest with KUSHIDA tied up in the ropes.  KUSHIDA with forearms but WALTER with knees and a chop across the chest that sends KUSHIDA to the mat.  WALTER sets for the power bomb but KUSHIDA with a tornado DDT.  KUSHIDA with a kick and enzuigiri.  KUSHIDA with a chop off the turnbuckles.  KUSHIDA with a hip toss and cartwheel followed by a drop kick.  KUSHIDA blocks a chop and drops the arm on the top rope.  KUSHIDA goes for a sunset flip power bomb to the floor but WALTER stands on the head.

KUSHIDA with forearms and kicks.  WALTER with a chops and WALTER misses a clothesline into the ring post.  KUSHIDA with a drop kick and a rolling DDT onto the apron.  WALTER pushes KUSHIDA into the guardrails and KUSHIDA gets back in before the ten count.  KUSHIDA with a rolling kick and kick to the arm.  KUSHIDA goes for the Sakuraba Lock but WALTER with punches and he escapes.  WALTER blocks a kick and applies a sleeper.  KUSHIDA gets to the ropes and KUSHIDA with an O'Connor Roll for a near fall and WALTER with a sleeper.  KUSHIDA goes for a cross arm breaker.  WALTER with a rollup for a near fall.  KUSHIDA with an inside cradle for a near fall.

KUSHIDA goes for a forearm but WALTER blocks it.  WALTER with an elbow but KUSHIDA with a jumping kick.  WALTER with a kick and German suplex.  WALTER with a pump handle fallaway slam for a near fall.  WALTER goes to the turnbuckles but KUSHIDA with a kick to the midsection.  WALTER with forearms to the back but KUSHIDA climbs the turnbuckles.  KUSHIDA with forearms.  WALTER with a chop and KUSHIDA holds on.  KUSHIDA goes for a hammer lock superplex and he applies the Sakuraba Lock.  WALTER fights out of the hold and KUSHIDA kicks WALTER.  WALTER gets to the ropes to force a break.

KUSHIDA with a drop kick to the arm and WALTER wtih a chop.  KUSHIDA with Kawada kicks to WALTER.  KUSHIDA goes for a tornado Divorce Court but WALTER with a drop kick and power bomb for a near fall.  WALTER waits for KUSHIDA to get up and he slaps KUSHIDA followed by a short arm clothesline for the three count.

Winner: WALTER

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at Eddie Dennis. Gandhi says man often becomes what he believes himself to be. Eddie believes that Gandhi was an idiot. Frank Herbert said belief can be manipulated and knowledge is dangerous. What separates him from the rest of the roster is while the NXT UK Universe are full of people who believe, only I have knowledge. Knowledge is power.

Xia Brookside is here for the next match and it is from the Mae Young Classic. Toni Storm versus Meiko Satomura. They have a number of influences and that is why this match was so exciting.

Match Number Two: Toni Storm versus Meiko Satomura in a Semi Final Match (from October 24, 2018)

They lock up and Storm with a wrist lock.  Satomura with a reversal.  Storm with a reversal into a hammer lock.  Satomura with a head lock and take down.  Storm gets a near fall.  Storm with a side head lock and Satomura gets a near fall.  Satomura with a head scissors and Storm escapes and applies a side head lock.  Satomura with a leg take down into an arm bar.  Satomura with a kick to the chest.  Storm with a kick and side head lock.

Storm with a shoulder tackle and Satomura does not go down.  Storm with another shoulder tackle but Satomura stays on her feet.  Satomura with kicks but Storm with a boot of her own.  Storm with a kick to the back.  Storm with a head butt and she follows with a second one.  Storm with a kick and she gets a near fall.  Storm with a suplex and she gets a near fall.  Satomura with a kick to the leg and Storm goes to the mat after the second one.  Satomura with another kick to the leg and Satomura kicks Storm in the hamstring.  Satomura with a spinning toe hold and she has Storm in a reverse figure four.

Satomura with a punch and then Satomura turns it into a trailer hitch but Storm gets to the ropes.  Satomura with kicks to the leg.  Satomura with an Irish whip and a running forearm into the corner.  Storm with elbows and forearms.  Satomura with a spinning heel kick.  Satomura with European uppercuts and Storm with a back slide for a near fall.  Storm with a Muta Lock with a chin lock.  Satomura tries to get to the ropes and she is finally able to get to the ropes.  Storm kicks Satomura in the back and then Storm with a running hip strike into the corner.  Storm with a fisherman's suplex for a near fall.  Storm with a kick to the chest and Satomura goes to the floor.

Storm looks around and goes for a suicide dive and hits it on the ramp.  Storm sends Satomura back into the ring and Storm with a Shining Wizard for a near fall.  Storm favors her left elbow after the suicide dive but that does not stop her from kicking Satomura.  The more Storm kicks Satomura, the more it pisses off Satomura.  Satomura with a kick and Storm fires back with a kick.  Satomura with a knee to the midsection followed by a DDT and a cartwheel knee drop to the head.  Satomura with a Death Valley Driver but Storm is able to kick out at two.  Storm blocks a knee and Storm with a German suplex and Storm Zero for a near fall.

Storm picks up Satomura for antoher Storm Zero but Satomura blocks it and hits a Pele Kick.  Satomura with a kick but she can only get a near fall.  Satomura with a scorpion kick but Storm kicks out at two.  Satomura gets Storm up for a Death Valley Driver but Storm counters with Storm Zero for the three count.

Winner:  Toni Storm (advances to Finals to face winner of Io Shirai versus Rhea Ripley)

After the match, both women bow and hug.

We go to commercial.

We are back with Nina Samuels. She says that they have come to their senses and they realized that they needed more Nina. The fans want to know what she has been doing. Some of the superstars have reflected and talked about how they can come back stronger. Nina says that maybe she needed to do a reflection like that, but she realized that she as sensational today as she was yesterday. The only thing that needs to change is that the fans need to appreciate her and put her on the pedestal that she deserves. No one dare miss what is in store for the grand return of the Nina Samuels Show.

Flash Morgan Webster’s pick is Zack Gibson against Pete Dunne from Brooklyn. Both men were on a rampage. Zack had just won the title tournament and Pete Dunne had won the NXT UK Title.

Match Number Three: Pete Dunne versus Zack Gibson for the WWE UK Championship (from August 22, 2018 episode of NXT)

They lock up and Dunne with a wrist lock.  Gibson with a reversal and single leg take down.  Dunne with a reversal and arm wringer to send Gibson to the mat.  Gibson with a shot to the throat and then he applies a wrist lock.  Dunne with a clothesline and a hammer lock.  Dunne puts his foot on Gibson's neck and then he pulls the fingers and manipulates the elbow and wrist.  Dunne with a boot to the head.  Dunne and Gibson with slaps and then Gibson goes for the kimura but Gibson is able to escape.  Dunne and Gibson in a double crab and they slap each other in the face.  Dunne goes for the arm and he stomps on the elbow with Gibson's hand on the mat.  

Gibson drops the arm on the top rope and then he hits a key lock divorce court.  Gibson with a kick and forearm.  Gibson tries to hyper-extend the arm and he gets a near fall.  Gibson with a cobra clutch but Dunne grabs the beard.  Dunne with punches but Gibson holds on to the wrist lock.  Gibson with a wrist clutch belly-to-back suplex for a near fall.  Gibson with an arm bar and he works on Dunne's hand.  Gibson returns to the cobra clutch.  

Gibson with a back elbow and then he hits a wrist lock suplex.  Gibson with forearms and Dunne fires back and sends Gibson to the mat.  Dunne with a running forearm into the corner.  Dunne floats over in the corner and hits an enzuigiri.  Dunne lands on his feet on a German suplex.  Dunne with a kick to the head and then he hits the X Plex into a cross arm breaker but Gibson gets to the ropes.  

Gibson goes to the floor and Dunne goes to the ring post for a moonsault onto Gibson.  Dunne sends Gibson back into the ring and Gibson begs for mercy but Dunne with a double stomp and a sit out power bomb for a near fall.  Dunne with a kick to the leg and Gibson with an Irish whip and he kicks Dunne in the head when he goes for a flip out of the corner.  Gibson with Ticket to Ride for a near fall.  Dunne with a punch and he blocks the double thrust to the throat.  Dunne stands on Gibson's feet and stomps on them.  Dunne with a round kick but Gibson hits a Ticket to Ride.  Both men hit enzuigiris at the same time and both men are down.

Gibson gets to the ropes and Dunne works on the ankle.   Gibson with a kick but Dunne with an enzuigiri to stop Gibson on the turnbuckles.  Dunne sets for a superplex but Gibson counters with a superplex of his own for a near fall.  Gibson goes for Shankly Gates but Dunne is able to avoid it being properly applied.  Gibson rolls Dunne up and applies Shankly Gates.  Gibson traps the arm when Dunne tries to get to the ropes but Gibson is able to get his mouth around the rope to force the break.

Gibson stomps on the back while Dunne still has his teeth on the ropes.  Gibson with more kicks.  Dunne looks for his mouth guard and he gets it but Gibson stands on the hand.  Gibson with a clothesline.  Gibson grabs Dunne's mouth guard and he wants to throw it into the crowd but Dunne stops him and then he works on the fingers and hits the Bitter End for the three count.

Winner:  Pete Dunne (retains Championship)
