OKADA VS. EVIL TO HEADLINE FINAL OF NEW JAPAN CUP AND MORE NJPW NEWS

Kazuchika Okada vs. EVIL will headline the 7/11 New Japan Pro Wrestling Dominion Night One event from Osaka, the first NJPW event featuring fans in attendance since the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic.  The winner of the New Japan Cup tournament will go on to challenge IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental double Champion Tetsuya Naito for both belts.

The remainder of the 7/11 event will feature:

*Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi & Hiromu Takahashi vs. Tomohiro Ishii, SHO & Toru Yano.

*Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi, Yuji Nagata & Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Taichi, Zack Sabre Jr., Minoru Suzuki & El Desperado.

*SANADA & BUSHI vs. Yujiro Takahashi & Taiji Ishimori*Master Wato vs. DOUKI.

*Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima vs. Hirooki Goto & Gabriel Kidd.

*Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma vs. Yota Tsuji & Yuya Uemura.

Dominion on 7/12 in Osaka will feature:

*IWGP Champion Tetsuya Naito vs. New Japan Cup winner.

*IWGP Tag Team Champions Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kota Ibushi vs. Suzuki-gun's Taichi & Zack Sabre Jr. 

*NEVER Openweight Champion Shingo Takagi vs. SHO.

*DKC vs. Rust Taylor.
*Danny Limelight vs. TJP.

Week Three:
*Karl Fredericks vs. Misterioso.
*Rocky Romero vs. Tom Lawlor.

Week Four:
*Alex Coughlin vs. Tom Lawlor.
*Misterioso vs. Danny Limelight.

Week Five:
*TJP vs. Rocky Romero.
*Jeff Cobb vs. Karl Fredericks.

NJPW issued the following:

YOSHI-HASHI, YOH injured; to miss forthcoming events

YOSHI-HASHI and YOH have both sustained injuries in recent bouts, YOSHI-HASHI to his right knee, and YOH to his left knee.

Both men will be unable to compete in Osaka Jo Hall on July 11 and 12, and there is no current timetable for either to return. 

New Japan Pro-Wrestling apologizes to fans who were looking forward to seeing both wrestlers compete. We appreciate your understanding, and wish both men well in their recovery.
