This coming Tuesday's episode of Impact Wrestling will feature an "announcement on the future" of the Impact Wrestling Championship.
Impact Wrestling Champion Tessa Blanchard has not appeared in the ring for the promotion since the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, canceling plans for Blanchard vs. Eddie Edwards vs. Michael Elgin at Rebellion and setting the stage for a top contender's tournament with the winner challenging Blanchard.
Ace Austin captured the tournament on this past Tuesday's episode of Impact. That episode was also originally slated to feature an interview from Blanchard via satellite but that segment was later dropped. On the same episode, Impact teased that Austin might instead choose to challenge Moose, who has been parading himself around as the TNA World Champion in recent weeks.
Blanchard, who has been in Mexico since the advent of the pandemic with fiance Daga, was not present at the Impact Wrestling tapings this past week in Nashville, TN.
