This week we will take a look at a cornerstone of MLW, a former champion, and the epitome of a hybrid fighter, Low Ki.
Low Ki says to be in this business among the land of giants for 20 years is not easy. You have to be tough.
In 2004, two of the toughest would meet. Would the student be able to beat the teacher?
Match Number One: Homicide versus Low Ki (from MLW Reloaded Night 1)
Homicide goes for the leg but Low Ki avoids him. They lock up and Ki with a clean break. They lock up and Homicide with a take down but Ki holds on and gets back to his feet. Homicide with a take down. They lock up and Ki with a bridge on a monkey flip attempt while locked up. Ki goes to the turnbuckles in the corner and he applies a cross arm breaker in the ropes. Ki releases the hold.
They lock up and Homicide with a side head lock. Homicide with a shoulder ackle and arm drag. Ki with an arm drag and then Homicide misses a drop kick. Ki with a kick to the head. Ki stops an attempted Greco Roman Knuckle Lock. Ki with a kick to the leg. Ki with another kick to the leg. Homicide with kicks and a chop. Homicide with a punch and side head lock. Homicide with a chop and Ki with a cross body and kick. Ki with a drop kick but Homicide sends Ki over the top rope to the floor. Ki with a jumping kick to stop a suicide dive attempt from Homicide. Ki gets a near fall.
Ki with an uppercut and snap mare followed by an elbow drop for a near fall. Ki with a drop kick to the back of the head. Ki with a chop in the corner.
Ki with more chops. Ki with an Irish whip and running forearm followed by a butterfly suplex for a near fall. Ki with a chop followed by a Mongolian chop. Homicide with a knee and forearm. Homicide with a chop and Ki with an Irish whip and Tidal Crush. Ki with a chop and Homicide goes to the apron. Ki with kicks to the chest while Homicide hangs in the ropes. Ki with a boot to the head. Ki misses a boot and Homicide drops the leg on the top rope.
Homicide with a drop kick that sends Ki to the floor. Homicide with a suicide dive and Homicide’s momentum sends him into the crowd. Homicide gets a near fall. Homicide gets Ki up for a delayed vertical suplex and hits it. Homicide gets a near fall. Homicide with a snap mare and he has the arms butterflied and in a surfboard. Homicide with a kick to the head followed by an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Homicide gets a near fall.
Homicide with head butts in the corner followed by a chop and punches. Ki with punches. Homicide puts Ki on the turnbuckles and Homicide with a Frankensteiner for a near fall. Homicide goes up top and misses a diving head butt when Ki moves. Ki with chops and a running forearm. Ki with a kick to the knee followed by a series of kicks to the chest. Ki with Kawada kicks and Homicide pushes Ki to the mat. Ki avoids the Cop Killer and Ki with a Capo Kick. Ki with a German suplex and he gets a near fall when Homicide gets his foot on the ropes. Ki goes for a springboard round kick but Homicide catches Ki and hits a dragon screw leg whip.
Homicide puts Ki on the turnbuckles and hits a dragon screw leg whip. Homicide with an STF and he releases the hold. Ki with the Dragon Sleeper and Homicide gets to the ropes. Homicide blocks a Ki Crusher. Ki with a back heel kick to the back of the head. Ki gets a near fall.
Ki goes back to the Dragon Sleeper but Homicide sends Ki into the turnbuckles. Homicide with a clothesline and he gets a near fall. Homicide goes for the Cop Killer but Ki escapes. Ki returns to the Dragon Sleeper but Homicide fights through it and gets the three count with a rollup.
Winner: Homicide
After the match, Jerry Lynn goes after Homicide and Low Ki attacks Lynn and chops him. Ki with punches to Lynn.
Gary Hart comes out wiith Ryze and Homicide joins Low Ki in attacking Lynn. Gary Hart continues to instruct Homicide and Low Ki what to do.

We are back with Low Ki’s comments leading into his match against Shane Strickland to collect Salina de la Renta’s bounty.
Lynn is sent to the floor and then Low Ki has some words with a fan but another fan throws something at Low Ki and Low Ki and Homicide attack the fan.
Low Ki returns to the ringside area as well as Homicide and Gary Hart. Gary Hart says this is what he is going to bring to MLW.
Court Bauer has some words with Gary but Homicide pushes Bauer down.
Gary says tomorrow night, Terry Funk’s career will be over and you can do whatever you want. Hart tells Bauer that he will no longer tell his boys how things will go down.
Homicide hits Bauer in the head with a broomstick. Homicide sweeps some trash onto Bauer.

Match Number Two: Shane Strickland versus Low Ki for the MLW Championship (from July 2018)
Low Ki has something to say to Strickland and then he slaps the champion. Strickland with punches as he backs Low Ki into the corner. Low Ki gets out of the corner and Strickland runs into a boot. Strickland with an arm drag into a cross arm breaker but Low Ki gets to the ropes. Strickland sends Low Ki into the turnbuckles and punches Low Ki. Strickland with another punch.
Low Ki with chops and a head butt. Lo Ki punches Strickland and chokes him in the corner. Low Ki with more kicks to the chest. Low Ki with a punch to the midsection and he follows with a head butt and chop. Low Ki with an elbow to the top of the head. Low Ki with a slam and he gets a near fall. Low Ki kicks Strickland in the hamstring and ribs.
Low Ki with a head butt and chop. Low Ki with another chop. Low Ki with more chops and head butts. Strickland with a punch. Low Ki with a kick to the chest. Low Ki with more kicks to the chest. Low Ki sends Strickland into the turnbuckles and gives him an Irish whip.
Low Ki is sent to the turnbuckles but Low Ki with a forearm and dragon sleeper in the ropes. Low Ki with a springboard round kick. Strickland with punches and chops. Strickland with a head butt. Low Ki with a kick to the chest but Strickland sets for a suplex. Low Ki with a rollup and a double stomp for a near fall. Low Ki puts Strickland in the ropes and he fish hooks Strickland but Strickland sends Low Ki over the top rope to the floor. Strickland with a leg sweep and back heel kick that sends Ki to the floor.
Strickland with a handstand plancha into a head scissors. Strickland sends Low Ki back into the ring and he punches Low Ki and climbs the turnbuckles for more punches. Low Ki pushes Strickland off the turnbuckles and his knee buckles a bit. Low Ki misses a splash in the corner. Stricklan with a half and half overhead suplex for a near fall. Strickland removes Low Ki’s shirt and he gets him up for a power bomb but Ki with punches. Stricklan catapults Low Ki into the turnbuckles but Ki lands on the turnbuckles and comes off with a double stomp and he gets a near fall. Ki tries to set up for the Ki Crusher but Strickland blocks it. Strickland with a kick to the knee and a jumping kick. Strickland goes for the rolling cutter but Ki blocks it. Strickland with a rolling cutter for a near fall.
Ki with a forearm to the back. Ki with a switchblade kick to the back of the head for the three count.
Winner: Low Ki (new champion)
After the match, Salina de la Renta gives Low Ki the briefcase to pay off the bounty.
Next week, we will take a look at the first MLW World Champion Satoshi Kojima.
We go to Gary Hart, Low Ki, and Homicide. Gary tells them to stay together. Low Ki is a martial arts expert. Strike when the time is right. Gary tells Homicide when you put that bag over that guy’s head, it will teach people not to mess with Homicide. Hart tells Low Ki to utilize his skills. Gary tells Homicide to use his street mentality to act like he would back home.
Gary says he has a legacy to protect. He tells that he picked you two of everyone in MLW. Gary says he does not make mistakes. You own this place. Follow his lead and you will get anything you want. Somebody gets in our way and tries to stop us, there will be consequences and repurcussions.
We go to Blue Meanie outside the 2300 Arena. He says he is having Deja Vu, or is it Deja Blue. Jordan Oliver says the streets are buzzing and the internets are talking. Who is the next to step up and join Injustice. Gino Medina is asked about his status in the Dynasty. LA Park challenges Contra Unit. He says it does not matter what type of match. Mance Warner says Contra has some gold that he wants. You are not going to tell him what to do or say.
Richard Holliday says he wants to buy MLW and then sell it and make a profit. Then he will rebuy the company. Savio Vega says Richard Holliday looks stupid with the mustache and he will knock it off his face. Dominic Garrini complains about how there are no ring girls to give them the tag titles. He says he needs to update his dating profile. Konnan has a message for Josef. You decided to make a statement and attack the whole dressing room. Myron Reed says some people don’t know what Injustice means. Injustice is no cap and no lies. It is about the truth and rising up.
Kevin Von Erich says the true test of being a champion is remaining champion. Alexander Hammerstone says he wants to climb to the next level and challenge Jacob Fatu. Myron Reed says Injustice is freeing people from being locked down from achieving their potential. Konnan says if he has to talk to the locker room and get reinforcements from AAA, you don’t have the resources. Marshall says Team Filthy will not out work us. Jordan Oliver has a spoiler and he will tell you. He pushes the camera away. LA Park is attacked.
Josef says the renegades want to rise up. Consider this a warning.
