WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: THE SECOND ROUND IS SET, WE HAVE A UNIVERSAL TITLE MATCH, CHAMPION VERSUS CHAMPION, MIXED TAG MATCH, AND MORE

We begin with a video feature for Memorial Day.

We are at the WWE Performance Center and your announcers are Michael Cole and Corey Graves.

We begin tonight's show with The Firt Sheet with Miz and John Morrison.

Miz says he refuses to acknowledge Otis as Mr. Money in the Bank.  Morrison calls him Mr. Honey Baked Ham.  Miz says Otis cannot help who he is.  It is the people who enable him like Braun Strowman.  Braun got into their business when he accepted the tag match.  Otis could cash in at any time.  It doesn't make sense.  Morrison says it is like Becky having a child with Seth Rollins.  Miz says Braun doesn't deserve the title.  Morrison says it could have been them.  Braun was replaced by stuffed animals.

Miz says they have uncovered some rejected FIrefly Funhouse puppets that were rejected.  Shiloh, the Lonely Laundry Lass.  There was Dookie the Diaper Boy.  Then there was Mandyquin Rose.  

Braun Strowman;s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.  Braun growls and gets Miz and Morrison to jump back that gets Braun to laugh.  He throws the chairs out of the ring.

Braun asks what's up  He says they are kind of funny and your show isn't half bad.  He thanks them for having him on the show.

Morrison and Miz say he is not booked.

Braun tells them to ask him about Bray and his puppets at Money in the Bank.

Miz asks if Braun thinks Bray is done with him.  Miz brings up Braun putting on the mask.  Miz says that Bray sent him spiraling down to his lowest point and he had John to save him.  Morrison says Braun isn't half the man that Miz is.  Morrison says if Braun gets in the ring with Miz he will come swinging at Braun.

Braun asks if that is a challenge and he accepts it.  Braun asks for a referee so Miz can get these hands.

We go to commercial.

Match Number One:  Miz (with John Morrison) versus Braun Strowman in a Non Title Match

Miz avoids Braun and connects with a jab but it has no effect.  Braun misses a charge and Miz with a waist lock and punch.  Braun backs Miz into the corner and he punches Miz and follows with a forearm across the chest.  Braun sends Miz into the turnbuckles.  Braun with a hard Irish whip.  Braun with another hard Irish whip.  Braun keeps Miz from getting out of the ring.  Miz drops down and Strowman goes over the top rope to the floor.  Miz with a knee to knock Braun off the apron.  Morrison with a round kick.

Strowman charges at Miz and Miz moves so Strowman hits the ring post.  Miz with a double sledge off the turnbuckles.  Miz goes for a springboard move and Strowman grabs Miz by the throat.  Miz rakes the eyes and then kicks Strowman.  Miz with a drop kick to the knee and a kick.  Miz sets for the DDT but Strowman blocks it and runs Miz into the corner and follows with a biel and splash.  Strowman punches Morrison off the apron.  Strowman with a suplex throw.  Strowman with a running power slam for the three count.

Winner:  Braun Strowman

After the match, John Morrison says you won a singles match tonight and a tag match next week.  We are challenging you to a handicap match at Backlash.

Braun accepts the match.

Match Number Two:  AJ Styles versus Shinsuke Nakamura in a First Round Match in the Intercontinental Title Tournament

They lock up and Styles backs Nakamura into the corner and he gives a clean break.  Styles with a side head lock and Nakamura backs AJ into the ropes.  Nakamura with a side head lock into a waist lock.  Nakamura with a hammer lock.  AJ with a side head lock.  Styles with a double thrust to the throat but Nakamura kicks AJ in the knee.  Styles with a Phenomenal drop kick.  Styles with a chop.  Nakamura with a back elbow and he tells AJ to come on.  Nakamura with a knee.  Nakamura is sent into the turnbuckles.  Nakamura blocks a punch and Nakamura with forearms.

They go back and forth and AJ with an enzuigiri.  Styles goes for a suplex and Nakamura lands on his feet.  Nakamura iwth a kick but he runs into boots.  Nakamura puts AJ in the ropes and hits the sliding German suplex.  We go to commercial.

We are back and Nakamura kicks AJ in the chest.  Styles and Nakamura exchange forearms.  Nakamura with a round kick and AJ follows with a Pele Kick.  Styles with clotheslines and a spinning back fist and another clothesline.  AJ picks up Nakamura and gets him on his shoulders for an Ushigoroshi and a near fall.  Nakamura backs AJ into the corner to stop a Styles Clash.  AJ with a Calf Crusher.  Nakamura gets to the ropes.  AJ grabs the leg and Nakamura with a round kick.  Nakamura misses a sliding knee and AJ with a clothesline for a near fall.  Nakamura gets AJ up for a Michinoku Driver for a near fall.

Nakamura sets for the reverse exploder but Styles with elbows.  Nakamura with a round kick in the corner and he hits a jumping side kick off the turnbuckles.  Nakamura with a sliding knee for a near fall.  Nakamura sets for Kinshasa but AJ with a rollup for a near fall.  Nakamura with a triangle.  Styles counters with a Styles Clash for a near fall.  Styles is sent to the apron and Styles with a forearm.  Nakamura with a kick and he goes for a running knee but AJ with a round kick.  Styles with a Phenomenal Forearm for the three count.

Winner:  AJ Styles (advances to face Elias in the second round)

We take a look at Charlotte's appearance last week on Smackdown as part of the Brand to Brand Invitational.

Bayley and Sasha Banks are in the back and Sasha says she has a plan for tonight.  Bayley tells Sasha she doesn't want Charlotte in her corner for the match because everyone thinks she cannot win without Sasha.  Sasha says she wasn't going to listen to what Charlotte said.  Bayley says she has this and she knows that Sasha has her back.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Three:  Bayley versus Charlotte Flair in a Champion versus Champion Non Title Brand to Brand Invitational Match

They lock up and Charlotte with a knee and she sends Bayley into the turnbuckles and chops Bayley.  Bayley is sent into the turnbuckles again but Bayley avoids a forearm in the corner and Bayley gets a near fall.  

We see Sasha in the back looking at a monitor.  They lock up and Charlotte with a waist lock.  Bayley with a standing switch and Charlotte with an elbow to escape.  Bayley with a double leg take down and she tries to use the ropes but the referee sees her doing it.  Charlotte with a double leg take down and she uses the ropes but the referee starts to make a count.  Charlotte with a back heel kick.  Charlotte with a Flair Flip on an Irish whip and Charlotte kicks Bayley.  Bayley trips Charlotte on the apron and Bayley misses a baseball slide.  Charlotte with a clothesline.

Charlotte sends Bayley over the ringside barrier.  Charlotte grabs Michael Cole's head set and she tells Sasha to come out so she can kick both of their asses.

We go to commercial.
