WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco, who has been associated with the company since 1984, took to Twitter to comment on his current status after word made the rounds he had been released:
What a writer made a mistake, to set things right. I have not been let go yet I’ve been placed on furlough don’t know who leaked the wrong news. I hope get back to helping young folks find there dream. If not it been on heck of a run #cantkeepawrestlerdown

As previously noted on PWInsider.com, upwards of 40% of the company were placed on furlough. Internally, WWE hopes to bring those employees back by July.
