RING OF HONOR DOES RIGHT BY TALENT AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2020-04-17 12:55:00

It's been noted by a number of talents on social media over the last several days that Ring of Honor has been paying all of its talents for canceled dates despite the promotion not currently running due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This would not only include contracted talents, but outside talents who were being brought in to work those events, including competitors in the planned ROH Women's World title tournament such as Katarina Waters and even international performers who had yet to actually debut, such as Adam Brooks.

ROH has also paid all staff, including ring crew, for all scheduled dates, in full, as if the events had actually taken place.

PWInsider.com can also confirm that ROH, at great expense, made sure that any international talents who were traveling to or had already arrived for the canceled Las Vegas PPV and TV tapings a few weeks back were rushed back home to their home countries immediately to insure they would not be stuck in the United States if the decision was made to close borders.  In the case of some, they landed in the United States and were immediately booked on return flights, never even leaving the airport.  American-based ROH talents were given the choice of taking their originally scheduled flights back (remaining to film some non-wrestling content) or getting immediate flights back home.

ROH is slated to return to action in June with dates in Dallas and San Antonio, but obviously, those are up in the air given the larger issues at play here.
