Was Roman getting pushed not because they want him to be the face of the company, but rather need someone to be thrown out last at the Rumble to make sure the winner gets cheered?

If you think Vince McMahon thinks that way, you don’t know Vince McMahon.  He pushes Roman because he’s a great wrestler and an even better man, and Vince likes people he can trust.

I thought that midnight last Thursday was going to be the last opportunity for WWE to tape in Florida, but now I’m seeing that the PC will still be used this week for this purpose. Did I misunderstand?

Time will tell.  Some of the restrictions that are put in place sometimes don’t hold, for whatever reason.  If people can’t travel to Florida by air, they could always drive or just stay there until the virus gets better.

The WWE has a great library on the Network. Empty arena wrestling is lackluster, in my opinion. Wouldn’t this be a good time to show some classic matches on Raw/Smackdown?

I have said a few times now that WWE needs to take advantage of the plethora of content they have on the Network to make the TV more interesting.  The empty arenas really hurt the presentation.  I wish they would add crowd noise if they are going to keep doing the matches.  I also think they should add older content and even some of their non in-ring stuff to the TV.

Just finished the season two premiere of Dark Side of the Ring. I was absolutely floored. What did you think about it?

I didn’t watch it.  I covered the story as it happened and know what happened.  There are enough depressing things in the world right now.  I don’t need to relive Chris Benoit killing his family again.  I’ll pass.

We’ve always heard stories about how top wrestlers like Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels and John Cena have allegedly politicked behind the scenes to get their way. I’ve always wondered: did The Rock ever have such a reputation during his tenure as a full-timer? I’ve never heard any shoot interviews calling him out for being a prima donna backstage.

Actually, Rock was just the opposite from everyone I talked to.  He was very giving with the other talents.  In my opinion, he always knew he could lose to anyone and the second he got the mic back in his hand, he was the top guy again.  He was confident in his ability and he had every reason to be that way.
