HULK HOGAN BEACH SHOP-WRESTLEMANIA WEEK ISSUE, SONYA DEVILLE TALKS WWE STILL MOVING FORWARD DURING PANDEMIC, KEVIN STEEN PPV & MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2020-03-21 17:49:00

Several PWInsider readers have sent word about an issue with Hulk Hogan's Beach Shop in the wake of Wrestlemania being canceled in Tampa.  Hogan was scheduled to do a meet and greet at the store for $175 that week, but that is off, obviously.  However, readers who have asked for refunds have been told the event is only postponed and they can use their tickets for the new date.  Of course, for fans who were coming from out of State (or the country for that matter), that isn't really an option.  We are told that the store has offered signed t-shirts and bandanas to fans (citing that would be $250 worth of merchandise, shipped free) who cannot use their tickets, but not refunds.  We have reached out to the store for comment and will update when we hear back.  As noted earlier today, Hogan recently settled a $110 million lawsuit against Cox Cable.

Sonya Deville was interviewed by AM New York about a number of topics, including WWE pushing forward in the wake of the coronavirus update.  "We’re taking all the necessary steps to make sure everyone is safe and healthy,” said Deville. “I believe that professional wrestling can provide some comedic relief for those in quarantine – it allows people to get a little relief from the stress of what’s going on. Wrestlemania is still a thing, but this year we’ll make history with something unique, just like we always do.”

Deville noted that she loves being on the road as she's young and single with no kids, but feels bad for those who have families as they are on the road so much annually.  Deville also noted she's in the middle of rolling out a clothing line, Rainbow Hearts and that when she revealed she was gay while competing on Tough Enough, it was the first time anyone outside of her family knew.  “It wasn’t intentional. No one really knew before that besides my family,” said Deville. “It was a crazy process of saying “I’m gay’ for the first time on TV and not knowing if it was a bad thing or a positive thing.  It was one of the best things that happened for me.  Coming out forced me to start living my reality and accepting myself for who I was, which I wasn’t really doing before. It was cool to share that journey with my fans.”  Deville's clothing line can be found at www.shopheavyheart.com/collections/rainbow-love.
