A number of older PWInsider.com readers have asked about The Undertaker's appearance on gaming streamer Dr. Disrespects' stream this week.
It was a promotional appearance, sponsored by G-FUEL Energy drinks (who are the official ESports energy drink and rabidly popular in that community) that also helped WWE reach a much younger demographic via online platforms, including Twitch and YouTube. Dr. Disrespect is a two-time Twitch Streamer of the Year and is a MASSIVE name in that world, so this would be akin, in a sense, to Undertaker going face to face with Lebron James on a NBA broadcast.
Last week, a series of Undertaker themed interruptions brought chaos to Dr. Disrespect’s streams. None more notable than during his Overwatch stream which saw Undertaker envelop all aspects of Dr. Disrespect’s prized “Champions Club”, closing with a threat that Dr Disrespect, will rest ?in peace:
Yesterday, the arena was jam packed for Overwatch placements.

But I was interrupted.... and I don’t like being interrupted.
Today, I’m going to get to the bottom of this.
The arena opens at 11am PT.https://t.co/bHsMu8hnlN pic.twitter.com/Bs4cxJyGx7
The actual storyline of the issue between the two sides runs back to October 2019 when Smackdown debuted on FOX at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and an episode of WWE Now featuring Dr. Disrespect crashing the digital series' set, claiming he was looking for someone:
The idea was that Undertaker didn't like the disrespect, no pun intended and decided to return the favor:
"I heard you were looking for someone."

Grave words were exchanged when @drdisrespect faced @wwe legend, The Undertaker at The Arena. pic.twitter.com/TG5KxOHBdq
So, what this all was was a promotional effort that helped WWE get one of their most infamous characters in front of a totally new, different set of potential fans and get paid for the privilege. It was smart marketing that assisted all involved - and could be leading to more as we head into Wrestlemania season.
