Friday Night Smackdown from Boston opened with a massive tease for WWE Universal Champion Bill Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns for Wrestlemania 36.
The two faced off with Reigns declaring he was next for Goldberg as the Wrestlemania logo was seen hanging in the background of their face-off. The crowd in Boston was cheering Reigns and booing Goldberg.
The original plan had been for Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal title to take place at Wrestlemania. As noted earlier on PWInsider.com, the advertised Elimination Chamber match to determine the top contender for the Universal title has been scrapped and is no longer advertised for the 3/8 Chamber PPV in Philadelphia, so the original idea there was for Roman to make it through the Chamber for the Mania bout. One has to wonder if this means Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena for Mania instead.
