MELINA VS. THUNDER ROSA, ALDIS CALLS OUT SCURLL & MORE: NWA POWERRR TV REPORT

By Anthony Pires on 2020-02-25 19:44:00

We open with highlights from Melina telling everyone she’s challenging Thunder Rosa TONIGHT!!!

Sean Mooney reminds us that Crockett Cup tickets go on sale this Friday.

Although Dokken is no longer heard on the open, they are with us in spirit. Joe Galli and Stu Bennett are calling tonight’s action from the GPS Studios in Atlanta, GA.  They go right to Dave Marquez who brings out Tim Storm.  Dave wants to know what’s on Tim’s mind with the phony Mama Storm showing up.  The REAL Mama Storm didn’t raise a quitter.  He warns those in the back not to mess with the real Mama Storm.  Tim respects Tom Lattimer, which immediately brings out Lattimer.  He says Strictly Business is done with him.  Lattimer accuses Storm on trying to drive a wedge between he and Nick Aldis.  Storm remains calm as Lattimer leaves.  Danny Deals (the fake Mama Storm) comes out to give a half-baked apology.  Deals reminds Storm of his losing streak.  He offers storm a tag team partner to help get back on his winning ways.  Storm wants to know where in the deal does he get his hands on Deals.  Marquez looks legit concerned that a melee is about to break out.  Deals makes another offer, since Storm rebuked him:  Storm must wrestle the partner-in-question.  If he wins, he gets five minutes with Danny Deals.  The partner/opponent: Jax Dane.  The two go nose to nose.

We get a Nikita Koloff commercial for his Man-Camp.  Lex Luger will be joining him.

We’re back and Dave Marquez is back with Matt Cross.  Cross puts over the heart, history and spirit of the NWA.  This feels like the time and place for Matt Cross.  He says that Matt Cross is forever.

Matt Cross vs The Outlandish Zicky Dice vs NWA Television Champion Ricky Starks (non-title)

Dice admonishes the ring attendant not to touch his fanny pack.  Dice bails as Starks grabs a headlock on Cross.  Starks into the ropes and Dice trips him and pulls him outside and begins raining punches.  They exchange blows back and forth.  Cross with a tope suicida on them both.  Cross rolls Dice back into the ring but Dice rolls all the way across to the outside.  Cross chases him but Starks rolls him up for 2.  Cross and Starks go down from a double clothesline.  Dice rolls in and gets a 2 count on each.  Dice goes to ram their heads together but Starks and Dice put him down with a double backdrop.  Cross Cutter by Cross on Starks.  Cross with a picture perfect shooting star press but Dice shoves him out and pins Starks.

WINNER: Zicky Dice

Time for May Valentine’s Diary.  She puts over her selfie collection and the love of her life, Royce Isaacs.  That night, Isaacs told her he loved her.  Valentine swoons over her best friend Sal Rinauro.

Joe Galli brings out NWA 3rd Degree National Champion Aron Stevens.  He asks the fans how good he is.  Galli reminds him he’s only had 2 title defenses.  Stevens reminds him they were SUCCESSFUL title defenses.  Galli accuses Stevens of cowardice.  Stevens insists he is a fighting champion.  Here comes The Question Mark for his match.

The Question Mark vs. Trevor Murdoch

Right hands by Murdoch and a big clothesline and The Question Mark goes down.  Murdoch fires off 2 more clotheslines but misses a charge in the corner.  Question Mark misses the Mongrovian Spike in the corner and Murdoch with an off the top bulldog for the pin.

WINNER: Trevor Murdoch

Stevens jumps Murdoch.  Stevens and The Question Mark work over Murdoch and Stevens knocks him out with elbow strikes.

Sean Mooney is at the interview desk and brings out NWA World Champion Nick Aldis.  Mooney goes over Mr. Aldis’ accolades and asks him about what’s possibly next with Villain Enterprises.  Aldis brags about beating Flip Gordon at Hard Times.  Then brags about he and Isaacs beating the Rock and Roll Express.  He knows Marty Scurll is here and he’s giving Marty one chance to back out of the deal and the match at the Crockett Cup.  This brings out the Villain.  Mooney asks to keep things civil.  Scurll makes it clear he’s not backing out.  Scurll wants a fight right now and hits the ring.  Royce Isaacs comes out, as does each member of Strictly Business (sans Scott Steiner), as the try to hit the ring, Big Bad Brody King comes out and slugs it out with Strictly Business.  The locker room empties to break up the fight as we go to commercial.

Dave Marquez brings out Eddie Kingston.  Eddie is wrapping up his fists as he says it’s time to bust the Pope up.  The Bouncers took out the Dawsons so it’s just him and The Pope.  Pope comes out taping his fist as well.  Pope refreshes the fact that he’s the most PimpTacular star of all time.  He tells that what Pope wants; Pope gets.  The Bouncers come out to back Eddie, but instead it’s revealed they took a bribe from the Pope and attack Kingston.  Kingston puts up a good fight but the Bouncers lay him out.

We get a video package of the Thunder Rosa-Melina issue.

Sean Mooney with an NWA Powerrr update.  He confirms the $500,000 stipulation between Nick Aldis and Marty Scurll.  The Rock and Roll Express are officially confirmed for the Crockett Cup.  Tickets on sale Friday.  Two big title matches next week: Ricky Starks vs. Zickey Dice for the TV title and James Storm and Eli Drake vs. The Bouncers for the NWA World Tag Team Title.

NWA World Women’s Championship: Thunder Rosa (Champion) vs. Melina

Melina seems incredulous that Thunder Rosa would dare fight her.  Rosa shoves Melina and Melina rolls out of the ring and slowly walks away as the referee counts her out.

WINNER: Thunder Rosa by count out (retains NWA Women’s Championship)

As Melina walks away, Allysin Kay cuts her off.  Kay punches Melina and throws her into the ring.  Kamille sneaks in and hits a spear.  Thunder Rosa and Kamille have a stare down as we go to credits.
