CENA RETURNS TO SMACKDOWN, BAUTISTA'S LATEST FILM NEXT MONTH, NXT HITS 10, I QUIT MATCH ON NXT UK AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2020-02-24 09:41:00

WWE Hall of Famers Nikki and Brie Bella as well as Daniel Bryan will be the guests on WWE Backstage tomorrow on FS1.

The latest edition of WWE Network's Ruthless Aggression series is being released today.

Scheduled for Wednesday’s WWE NXT is Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair.  Flair noted over the weekend that her grandfather passed away and everyone at PWInsider.com would like to express our deepest condolences.

Set for this Wednesday’s edition of Miz & Mrs. on the USA Network - "As Mike deals with car trouble, Maryse focuses on crafting the perfect family photo."

Due to Thursday’s Super Showdown PPV, NXT UK will air at 10 AM Eastern on the WWE Network with The Hunt vs. The Grizzled Young Veterans and NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray vs. Toni Storm in an I Quit Match.

John Cena is set to return to WWE TV this Friday at Smackdown in Boston, MA.  One would think this would begin whatever storyline Cena has leading into Wrestlemania 36.

Marketing is starting to hit the long delayed Dave Bautista comedy My Spy, which will open theatrically in the United States on 3/12.  The plot of the film – “Nine-year-old Sophie catches JJ (Bautista), a hardened CIA operative, spying on her family during a routine surveillance operation. In exchange for not blowing his cover, JJ begrudgingly agrees to show the precocious girl how to become a spy. What at first seems like an easy task soon turns into a battle of wits as Sophie proves you don't need much experience to outsmart a seasoned agent.”

Yesterday was the tenth anniversary of the very first episode of WWE NXT.  William Regal commented on the occasion:

NXT has a live event this Friday in Largo, Florida.  If anyone is attending any of this week’s WWE events, we are seeking live reports.
