The Haiti Kid will be making his first public appearances in decades at the 4/18 80’s Wrestling Con 3 on Saturday 4/18 at iPlay America in Freehold, NJ from 10 AM to 3 PM. Promoter Tommy Fierro was able to track down the Kid, who hasn't worked in or around pro wrestling since 1993. The convention will also feature Honky Tonk Man, Zeus, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Lex Luger, Rock N’ Roll Express, “Dr. D” David Schultz, The Haiti Kid, Teddy Long, Dutch Mantell, The Conquistadors (Jose Luis Rivera & Jose Estrada), Sean Mooney, Larry Zbyszko, Sam Houston, “Polish Power” Ivan Putski, Tony Garea, Mike McGuirk, Ted Arcidi, and the daughter of Andre The Giant Robin Christensen-Roussimoff. Speaking of the Ascension, the former WWE NXT Tag Team Champions return for their first post-WWE appearance tomorrow in Brooklyn for Outlaw Pro Wrestling. The lineup for that show features:

One of the more interesting independent builds for a show of late, especially for fans who were around the Northeast independent scene in the 1990s is for the 3/21 Stand Alone Wrestling event in Lacey Township, NJ which is being promoted locally by former Phoenix Championship Wrestling promoter Big 80s Donnie B (Bucci) and headlined by a reunion of The Blue Meanie and Nova as the BWO with the idea that the late Dennis Corralluzo's son Marc Corralluzzo, very much playing his father's old Memphis Wrestling heel persona, has teamed with Rik Ratchet (a tremendously talented comedy star from the area who had the gimmick of being "trained by" and wrestling like Ric Flair, except he was terrible) in a bid to defeat them and win the rights to the name of the BWO.
