By Stuart Carapola on 2020-02-18 22:05:00

Welcome to the Impact Wrestling Report here on PWInsider.com!

We start off with the usual video looking back at last week's show, then we're off to the ring for our opening match...

Josh Alexander vs TJ Perkins

Feeling out process to start, eventually TJ uses his speed to outmaneuver Alexander and hit a flying headscissors.  Alexander boots TJ in the face and tries to grind him on the mat, but TJ gets a royal octopus and turns it into a guillotine cradle for 2.  Alexander takes TJ back down and ties him up on the mat, then nearly breaks TJ in back with a side backbreaker for 2.  TJ continues taking a beating for several minutes until reversing a top rope something into a flying armbar.  Alexandermakes it to the ropes, then cradles TJ for 2.  TJ maneuvers Alexander to the floor and takes him out with a dive, then connects with a springboard dropkick to the face.  TJ with a top rope Swanton, Alexander moves, TJ gets an inside cradle for 2, TJ with a kneebar with a leg grapevine, then suplexes Alexander into next week.  Alexander with a spinning powerbomb for 2, then they trade forearms in the middle of the ring and TJ connects with a spinning kick to Alexander, who quickly ducks under and accordians TJ with a release German suplex.  TJ back to the cross armbreaker, Alexander picks him up and powerbombs him over the knee for 2.  Alexander puts TJ on the top rope and goes for a fallaway slam, TJ slips out and superplexes Alexander, then goes back to the royal octopus and has Alexander right in the middle of the ring.  Alexander slips out, so TJ goes back to the kneebar with the leg grapevine.  Alexander makes it to the ropes, TJ with a flurry of kicks, but Alexander blocks the detonation kick, hoists TJ up on his shoulders, TJ holds onto the top turnbuckle and pulls the pad off accidentally, Alexander gets a sleeper, but TJ rolls over his shoulders and gets the pin.

Winner: TJ Perkins

We barely have time to digest that when Johnny Swinger walks in on Willie Mack updating some guy backstage on Rich Swann's condition.  Swinger says they're not a trio and kicks the other guy out, calls him a mizark, and says they need rizeps.

We see a video package looking at the history between Michael Elgin and Eddie Edwards, then Josh and Don talk about stuff before sending us back to the ring for our next match...

Willie Mack vs Johnny Swinger

Swinger tries a cheapshot, but Willie sees it coming and hits him with a pair of atomic drops.  Swinger begs off to the corner, and tells the ref that Willie's trying to hit him with a closed fist.  Swinger tries to cheapshot him behind the ref's back, but Willie sees it coming, blocks it, and cheapshots Swinger instead, then hits a dropkick for good measure.  Swinger with a headbutt to the ding ding, then chokes Willie right in front of the referee.  What a heel.  Willie with a fiery babyface comeback, hitting a BIIIIIIG bodyslam and then a Samoan drop followed by the kip up into a standing moonsault.  Willie sets for the corner avalanche, but Swinger dodges, so Willie hits a stunner instead, then comes off the top with a frogsplash for 3.

Winner: Willie Mack

Very entertaining throwback, Swinger is one of my favorite things on this show with his 80s heel schtick.

We see a video package looking back at Jordynne Grace's victory for the Knockouts Title last week, then we head to the ring where Madison Rayne is complaining about Jordynne taking shortcuts to get the Knockouts Title, and announces she is holding a golden opportunity open challenge for whatever uyndeserving schmuck Impact wants to throw in the ring with her...

Madison Rayne vs Maserati

Maserati with a series of pinning combinations from the start, but can't put Madison away.  Madison takes control and Maserati is in peril for a bit, but then Mazz mounts a comeback until Madison hits an Ace crusher for 2.  Madison with CrossRayne for the win.

Winner: Madison Rayne

It was there.

Gabby is backstage with Jordynne Grace, who says winning this title means everything to her, and everything she worked for has finally paid off, and the best part was that she took it from a bratty princess like Taya.  She won't run from challengers like Taya, and Jessicka Havok is next on her radar.  John E. Bravo coms in to complain about what happened, and begs Taya to talk to her.  He had a video package made for her, and we see it right now.

We come back from commercial to John E. Bravo being angrily thrown out of Taya Valkyrie's dressing room.  He tells Gabby that she loved the video.

The Impact Plus flashback takes us back to Pope vs Ken Anderson from eons ago.

Katie Forbes is getting all pissed off because people are talking smack about them on social media, but RVD says to lighten up because they're horrible people leading horrible lives, and they wish they were RVD and KAtie Forbes.  RVD sees Daga and reminds him of when he beat him at Hard To Kill, then challenges him to a match next week.

Gabby is backstage with Tessa Blanchard, Trey Miguel, and Tommy Dreamer, and they talk about their match tonight with Ace Austin and Reno Scum.

Best of Five Series: Michael Elgin vs Eddie Edwards

Elgin is currently leading the series 2-0.  They start by beating the tar out of each other in the middle of the ring, Eddie dumps Elgin to the floor and takes him out with a dive, then they head back in wqhere Eddie hits a hard lariat and a Tiger driver for a close 2.  Elgin hangs Eddie up on the top rope, German suplexes him into next week, then takes his head off with a clothesline.  Elgin hits a death valley driver on the ring apron, and Eddie is in serious trouble as Elgin proceeds to batter him mercilessly.  Eddie sidesteps and sends Elgin to the floor, then follows out with a dive but Elgin drills him with a hard forearm on the way out.  Elgin goes for a powerbomb on the floor, but Eddie counters to a flying headscissors right on the ramp, then connects with the Boston Knee Party.  They head back into the ring where Eddie hits a top rope double stomp for 2, they keep going back and forth and start trading submission holds, but Eddie hits the Boston Knee Party again.  Elgin with another pair of hard clotheslines for 2,  he goes for the burning hammer but Eddie fights out, then he goes for the backpack driver, Elgin counters to a super Elgin bomb, picks Eddie up, and gets small packaged for the win.

Winner: Eddie Edwards

The series is now 2-1 Elgin, and despite still maintaining the lead, Elgin is not a happy man.

Dave Crist vs Rhino

Moose joins Josh and Don for this match, which Dave takes early advantage on with Jake freely interfering from the floor whenever the ref's back is turned (which is quite often).  Rhino quickly takes Jake out and hits the gore for the win.

Winner: Rhino

Well, that was decisive.  Rhino points at Moose, who stands way back from the ring bragging about how he's a franchise player.

Jessicka Havok is backstage, and she looks pissed.  Suzie suddenly appears out of thin air, says "Hi, I'm Suzie!" and then disappears again, leaving only the words "UR TIME HAS COME" scrawled on the wall.

Chris Bey is coming, Josh and Don talk about stuff, Gabby's backstage segment gets hacked by someone who wants us to join the revolution, and then it's main event time!

Tessa Blanchard, Trey Miguel & Tommy Dreamer vs Ace Austin & Reno Scum

Adam Thornstowe quickly finds himself in the wrong part of town as soon as the bell rings, on the receiving end of a 3-on-1 beating until tagging in Luster since Ace doesn't want to have to fight Trey.  All heck breaks loose pretty quickly as everyone winds up in the ring and the babyfaces clear the heels out.  We're at commercial.

We're back, and Tommy Dreamer is caught in decidedly the wrong part of town, taking a perilous beating from Ace and Reno Scum.  He manages to tag in Trey, who then himself gets caught in the wrong part of town.  At least it's not the wrong part of Parts Unknown.  People don't come back from places like that.  Finally Trey makes the tag, and Tessa comes in to clean house on all three opponents, hoists Thornstowe up for a Samoan drop, then gets a sleeper on Ace.  Ace gets caught between Tessa and Trey, and Tessa hits an Ace crusher on...well, on Ace.  Trey covers for 2, Tessa takes both of Reno Scum out with a dive, then Ace absolutely DRILLS Tessa in the face with a running knee.  Trey hits a dive that takes out everyone, friend and foe, then they go back into the ring where Austin hits the Fold for the win.

Winners: Ace Austin & Reno Scum

Ace gets the last word going into Sacrifice this Saturday where he will challenge Tessa Blanchard for the Impact World Title, and that's all she wrote for this week.
