YOUNG BUCKS IN ACTION, BEST FRIENDS VS. H2 AND MORE: AEW DARK TV REPORT

Excalibur and Taz are your commentators for the evening.

Kris Statlander vs. Diamante

Statlander taunts with her index finger, Diamante slaps both the hand away and Statlander’s face.  Big chop by Statlander, they go face to face.  Statlander with a discus lariat.  Statlander with a surfboard she gives Diamante a double wet willy with Diamante’s own fingers.  Diamante gets a second wind and nails 7 straight elbows.  She bounds the ropes and Statlander with a backbreaker.  Kicks and uppercuts by Statlander.  Running back elbow and knee into the corner, Diamante slumps to the outside.  Press slam by Statlander, she puts Diamante down face first on the apron.  Statlander goes for a powerbomb but Diamante with a Destroyer for 2.  Statlander blocks a clothesline and hits a roundhouse kick and a Big Bang (stuff tombstone) for the pin.

WINNER: Kris Statlander

We get a Revolution PPV commercial

TH2 (Jack Evans & Angelico) vs Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent) with Orange Cassidy

Trent and Evans start off.  Lockup, go behind takedown by Trent.  Evand turns it into a hammerlock and headscissors.  Trent kicks out.  Lockup, they exchange arm twists and Trent goes for a suplex but Evans slips behind to escape.  Big chop by Trent.  Evans evades a tackle, goes to the apron and hits a shoulderblock.  He goes for a spinning DDT but Trent hits a Northern Lights and tags in Taylor.  Handshake double elbow by the Best Friends.  Angelico tags in and gets taken down to the outside by a Taylor armdrag.  Angelico, out of nowhere, nails Orange Cassidy hard and OC goes down.  Best Friends come to the resuce and we’ve got a brawl.  Evans with a sommersault splash on Best Friends.  Evans tags in.  Corkscrew kick on Taylor.  Gory Special into a splash by TH2 (can’t even describe what they did there- VERY innovative).

Trent gets thrown into the enemy corner.  Evans with a double stomp on Trent while he’s up on Angelico’s shoulders.  PK to the face by Angelico for 2.  Trent reverses a Northern Lights into a spinning DDT, he makes the tag.  Taylor with 2 clotheslines and a pump kick Evans.  Spinning Liger bomb for 2 by Taylor.  Trent tags in.  Cutter for 2, save by Angelico.  Knee strike by Angelico to Trent.  Evans hits an assisted 450 for 2.  Evans to the top, the referee is distracted as Orange Cassidy gets on the apron.  He gives Evans his patented weak punches, Angelico charges but Cassidy moves out of the way.  Angelico crotches himself, causing Evans to fall off the top and crotch himself as well.   Best Friends hug it out, hit Strong Zero and score the pin.

Christi Jaynes vs Big Swole

Jaynes with some impressive dance moves to begin.  Lockup, they jockey across the ropes.  Arm twist by Jaynes, Swole turns it into a hammerlock & headlock combination.    Jaynes with a nice reversal on the headlock.  Swole with a big forearm and hiptoss.  WE get a test of strength, Jaynes holds her own but gets shoved face first into the corner.  Swole meets her with a big clothesline.  Jaynes avoids a charge but eats an elbow off her own charge into the corner.  Swole goes to the 2nd rope but Jaynes with a step up enziguiri.  Jaynes applies a leglock choke on the 2nd rope.  Kick to the back by Jaynes, followed by a snap mare using Swole’s hair.  Swole kicks Jaynes away but Jaynes meets her with a hip attack.  Swole gets a 2nd wind and nails open palm strikes a big headbutt that rocks both women.  Swole with a roundhouse kick and a cutter.  Ripcord lariat (Dirty Dancing) by Swole and she gets the pin.

WINNER: Big Swole

After a plug for AEW merchandise, Tony Schiavone sends us right back to the ring.

QT Marshall and Peter Avalon (w/Leva Bates) vs the Young Bucks

Marshall asks the crowd to placate the Librarian so he can get his promo out of the way and the match can start.  Marshall and Nick Jackson start us off.  Collar and elbow, they exchange arm twists.  They trade a series of leapfrogs and escapes.  In all of this, Marshall scores an armdrag.  Avalon mocks his partner and tags himself in.  Avalon continues to mock Marshall and runs into a Nick Jackson drop toe hold and a Matt legdrop.  Matt suggests a double hip toss and they hit it as well as a double dropkick.  They hit Marshall on the apron with a headscissor/dropkick combo as well.  The Bucks and Avalon are doing commentary on the house mic early on.

Nick with a neckbreaker on Avalon.  Matt with a senton. Matt with a dropkick to Marshall.  Matt with a neckbreaker on Avalon onto Nicks knee for a backbreaker, the Bucks soak in the crowd.  QT tags in.  Avalon hits Matt with a forearm to the back of the head.  When QT goes over to Avalon to give him the business, Avalon tags himself back in. Avalon dropkicks Nick Jackson off the apron.  Side kick by Avalon for a 1 count.  Bates chokes Matt on the 2nd rope after he throws her book to the ground.  QT tags in and hits  a backbreaker for 2.  Matt fights out of the enemy corner and hits a dropkick on Marshall.  Avalon tags in and nails Nick off the apron.  Backdrop by Matt and a Northern Lights trifecta, he ends up hitting eight, the 8th one included Marshall going down as well.  Nick tags in and goes to work on Avalon.  Roundhouse kick and a kick in the corner.  Marshall comes in to help but he gets trapped by a roundhouse kick in the corner.  Double bulldog by Nick Jackson.  Springboard facebuster on Avalon followed by a springboard moonsault to Marshall on the outside.  Sharpshooter by Nick Jackson, but Avalon makes the ropes.  Blindside spear by Matt Jackson.  Marshall breaks up the pin by elbow dropping his own partner.  Avalon fights out of the Meltzer Driver and grabs Bates’ book, Marshall takes it away but Avalon punches him.  Double superkick by the Bucks a Meltzer Driver for the pin.
