EIGHT MAN TAG ACTION & MORE: RING OF HONOR TV REPORT

We kick off this weeks Ring of Honor with highlights of 2 Guys, 1 Tag (Silas Young & Josh Woods) beating Jay and Mark Briscoe at Final Battle Fallout.  As a result of this match, Woods and Young have earned a shot at Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham’s ROH World Tag Team Title.

Bandido vs Alex Zayne (Highlights)

Bandito with a tope onto Zayne on the outside.  Jump to Zayns with a hurancanrana and a leg sweep. Running shooting star for 2.  Jump to a pop up cutter by Bandido and cutter of his own for 2.  Jump to Bandido blocking a rana and executing a Buckle Bomb.  Bandido with a hangmans neckbreaker off the 2nd rope into a power bomb for 2.  Jump to Bandido going for the 21 Plex and Zayne countering with a Pele kick.  Zayne with a roundhouse kick in the corner followed by an amazing 450 double knee strike.  Zayne with a ripcord powerbomb for the pin.

WINNER: Alex Zayne

Dalton Castle and Joe Hendry are at a photo shoot and Castle is hyping up Hendry with his usual ridiculous Castle-isms.

Ian and Quinn run down Summie Sakai’s heel turn.

Nicole Savoy vs. Summie Sakai (Highlights)

Sakai blocks a butterfly suplex.  Savoie with chops in the corner and she nails the Butterfly off the 2nd rope.  Jump to Savoie nailing a Dragon Suplex and a clothesline for 2.  Jump to Summie trying to catch and armbar, she’s able to execute while draped over the apron on the outside.  As referee Todd Sinclair re- enters the ring, Sakai kicks the middle rope, sending Sinclair down.  Roundhouse kick and a German Suplex by Savoie, she can’t get the pin as Sinclair is recovering (Todd didn’t see who kicked the rope).  Summie pulls out a chain and Summie hits an axehandle with the object.  Sakai with a neckbreaker for the pin.

Lifeblood (Tracey Williams & Mark Haskins) vs. Vincent & Bateman.

We start right away with a double team by Bateman and Vincent, they connect on a double elbow, Williams fights back and tags in Haskins, who hits a shoulderblock on Vincent.  Haskins with a running knee on Bateman, Lifeblood double teams Vincent and Williams nails a knee in the corner, Haskins with a stomp.  Williams with an atomic drop, Chuckles at ringside pulls Vincent to the corner where Bateman tags in.  Haskins with leg strikes, Bateman blocks and goes for a chokeslam but it gets blocked.  Blind tag to Williams, he nails a knee off the ropes for 2.  Elbow smash and a chop by Williams.  Off the ropes, Vincent stops Williams with a knee.  Williams punches Vincent off the apron but gets nailed by a spinning forearm, sending him to the outside.

Once outside, Chuckles goes to work on Williams.  Williams fights back but eats a cutter from Vincent.  Vincent tags in, rolls Williams into the bottom turnbuckle and gets a 2 count.  Vincent goes from sliced bread but Williams slips out and tags in Haskins.  Pump kick and a running knee by Haskins, he sends an interfering Bateman to the outside and hiptosses Vincent over as well.  Apron kick on Bateman and a tope onto Vincent by Haskins.  Vincent rolls out of the way of a double stomp but Haskins hits a superkick.  Short clothesloine by Haskins for 2.  Williams tags in.  Vincent stops him on the 2nd rope but Williams nails a DDT on the top turnbuckle.  Powerbomb by Williams for 2.  Haskins with the tag.  Bateman interferes but he eats a double pump kick. Double pump on Vincent.  Williams with a piledriver and goes for the pin.  Chuckles runs in and nails Haskins with a wood stump.

WINNERS BY DISQUALIFICATION: Mark Haskins and Tracey Williams

Vincent goes to break Haskins’ ankle ala Matt Taven but Williams with a steel chair for the save.

The Bouncers (Brawler Milonas & The Beer City Bruiser) & 2 Guys, 1 Tag (Silas Young & Josh Woods) vs.  Dan Maff, Jeff Cobb, Jonathan Gresham and Jay Lethal

Gresham and Young start off.  Silas with an arm twist, go-behind and leg sweep by Gresham, Gresham grabs a headlock.  Silas scissors his way out.  Test of strength, Silas with a takedown for a series of 2 counts.  Gresham slides away, grabs another headlock but Silas scissors out again, we have a stalemate.  Lockup and we get a break.  We get a SERIES of monkey flip reversals as neither Young or Gresham will unlock their fingers, Silas manages a 2 count.  They trade leg sweeps and Silas with a rollup for 2.  Woods tags in and hits an amateur takedown, Gresham slides to the outside and seems very frustrated, he tags in Lethal.

Single leg takedown by Woods, he grabs a headlock but Lethal counters with an arm twist.  Woods slides behind and tries a rollup for 1.  Lethal with a leg sweep, tries a figure 4 but Woods pulls him down and tries for an armbar.  Lethal to his feet, off the ropes, he eats a shoulderblock and goes down.  Hiptoss and dropkick by Lethal.  Bruiser tags in.  Lethal complains that The Bruiser may be drunk.  They trde punches, Bruiser gets the better of it.  Once again Bruiser is acused of biting his opponent but, as we know, Bruiser can’t bite because he ain’t got no teeth.

Cobb tags in.  As does Milonas.  When we come back from commercial, Milonas nails Cobb and Maff each with a crossbody and tags in Woods.  Woods and Cobb go to a stalemate until Lethal and Gresham pull Woods out of the ring and begin raining forearms.  Lethal tags in.  Ground and pound by Lethal, Lethal and Woods exchange chops.  Gresham tags in and stomps Woods, tags Lethal back in.  Lethal makes it clear to Cobb and Maff that he has no intention of working with them.  Woods gets driven hard into the buckles.  Maff is angry!  Woods blocks a throw into the buckles, he and Gresham exchange blows.  Gresham tries for a toe hold, Woods blocks but Gresham is able to take him down with a modified chop block.  Lethal tags in.  Double suplex by the ROH World Champions.

Woods catches Lethal on the charge and hits a Head and Leg Suplex.  Gresham tries a dive off the 2nd but Woods catches him with a knee.  Silas gets the tag and he hit a springboard double stomp on Lethal and chops Gresham.  Anarchist Suplex by Young.  Milwaukee Plunge by Silas onto Gresham, Lethal attacks him.  Maff gets a blind tag on his own accord, he and Silas exchange punches.  Senton by Maff, Bruiser comes in to help and he eats chops in the corner.  Maff chops Lethal (his “partner”) and Bruiser.  Senton by Maff on Bruiser.  Maff with a spear on Silas for 2.  Cobb tags in but gets pulled off the apron by his own partners.  Woods with a German Suplex on Maff.  This is CRAZY!  Cobb runs back in and hits a running uppercut on Woods in the corner, Maff follows up with a cannonball.  Maff with a bodyslam and Cobb with a standing moonsault.  Milonas reaches over and gets the tag, Bruiser with a tope on the tag team champions.  Sidewalk slam by Milonas, Bruiser with a splash off the ropes. The Bouncers, Cobb and Maff are going at it.  Woods comes in and gives Maff a cutter.  Gresham and Lethal pull 2G1T to the outside and they go at it.  Inside the ring, Cobb hits the Tour of the Islands on Bruiser for the Pin.

WINNERS: Jay Lethal, Jonathan Gresham, Dan Maff and Jeff Cobb

Maff and Cobb staredown Lethal and Gresham as we go off the air.
