Randy Orton makes his way to the ring and he has something to say.

We have a video package to show what led to tonight's match between Randy Orton and Matt Hardy.

Randy says tonight he is supposed to face Matt Hardy in a No Holds Barred match, but after what happened last week, that is not going to happen.  From what he understands, Matt is trying to get cleared by the doctors.  After what happened last week, that is not going to happen.  The Hardys are known for jumping off the highest of highs and crashing to the lowest of lows.  If Matt was to face him tonight in a No Holds Barred Match . . .

Matt Hardy comes out wearing a neck brace and he says that instead of talking about him, talk about why you took away Edge's second chance.  Why did you smash his surgically repaired neck between two chairs.  What in the hell is wrong with you Randy Orton.  You didn't want to answer his question and you made him want to feel what Edge felt.  You wanted to take all of this from me.  Matt says you cannot take it from him.  He came here to fight Randy.  To the surprise of no one, the WWE doctors won't clear him to compete in a match tonight.  Matt says he is a man of his word and he is here.  Much like Edge, he has grit.  Matt says he will not quit and he will not die.  You can knock him and Edge down all you want but they will not die.  Matt says his future will not be determined on your terms, they will be determined on your terms.

Randy says Matt should have said goodbye last week while he could still walk out of the arena on his own two feet.

Matt gets to the apron and then enters the ring.

Randy asks Matt what is he gonna do?  He is a sitting duck.  What would you do if I RKOed you right here where you stand.  Randy tells Matt he has balls, but no one will undertand why he did what he did.  Randy says he respects Matt and what he has done.  Randy says he respects Edge and loves him like a brother.  Randy says he is sorry.  Randy drops the mic and leaves the ring.

Randy takes off his shirt at the top of the ramp while Matt Hardy gets a chair and brings it into the ring.  Matt tells Randy to finish him.  Randy gets on the apron and he swings and misses.  Orton drops Matt throat first on the top rope.  Matt gets back to his feet and Orton with an RKO.  Orton crawls to the chair and Orton thinks about what to do.  Orton gets the chair and hits Hardy in the back with it.  Orton drives the edge of the chair into Matt's chest.  Orton hits Matt in the back with the chair.

Orton goes to the floor and he goes to get another chair for a One Man Conchairto.

Referees come to the ring to try to stop Orton as Randy takes the neck brace off Matt.  Orton is ready to strike and then he stops and throws the chair to the floor.  Orton leaves the ring, but he goes back to pull Matt out of the ring and drops him on the floor.  Orton moves the steps and he puts Matt's head on the steps.  Orton puts the other half of the steps next to the bottom half and Orton grabs the chair and he connects with Matt's head.   Orton does not leave the ringside area but he throws the chair down.

Orton has the chair again and he puts Matt's head back on the top of the step and Orton with another chair shot to the head.  Randy tells Matt he is sorry.

Charlotte says last night she was in Portland at Takeover and she wants us to see what she did there.

Charlotte says she wanted to see who was filling Rhea Ripley's head with the thought that she could come to Raw and challenge the queen.  Charlotte says she was impressed and then she started to reminisce.  She remembered training in a warehouse and the growing pains.  She says she thought about how her class built the brand that is NXT.  She talks about the entitlement.  It is about women like Rhea Ripley who did not claw and scratch to get NXT to where it is now.  Rhea, you have the audacity to step in her ring on her show and hold up the title that she put on the map.  Charlotte says she thinks Rhea is good but pride comes before the fall and she will humble Rhea at Wrestlemania.  Everyone is the next big thing, until they're not.
