Horrible news to report tonight. The AAA version of La Parka passed away today at the age of 56. This is the one who had the serious accident in November during a dive outside the ring and never recovered. This is not the WCW La Parka, who is now LA Park, to be clear pic.twitter.com/5umEsL2ISS

AAA Lucha Libre announced that the current La Parka passed away today several months after being seriously injured and undergoing surgery following a dive in late November, never truly recovering as he was in out and out ICU. He was only 56 years old.
The official announcement:

Note: This was not the original La Parka, who wrestled for WCW and is now known as LA Park, but the performer who took the mantle of the name after LA Park left the company to go independent.
On behalf of everyone at PWInsider.com, we'd like to express our deepest condolences to the fans, friends and family of AAA star La Parka.
