MLW FUSION REPORT: OPERA CUP BEGINS, KING MO DEBUTS & MORE

We are in New York City and your announcers are AJ Kirsch and Rich Bocchini.

The members of Injustice (Kotto Brazil, Jordan Oliver, and Myron Reed) are in the ring.

Kotto wants to know where there stuff is. Oliver asks if they are going to fire them. They have their mics taken away but they refuse to leave the ring.

Rich mentions that King Mo is scheduled to wrestle but Injustice is still in the ring and they want to know why they are not in the Opera Cup. AJ mentions that Injustice are alternates in the tournament. Injustice has a sit in in the middle of the ring.

King Mo’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Dan Lambert joins AJ and Rich on commentary for King Mo’s match.

Kotto has some words for Mo while Jodran says they are going to use him and get rid of Mo like they have with so many others.

King Mo is ready to take on all three members of Injustice and . . .

ACH makes his way to the ring and Injustice is not sure of what to make of this. Reed, Brazil, and Oliver get on the apron and Oliver wants ACH to join them.

ACH and Mo shake hands so we know whose side ACH is on.

Match Number One: King Mo and ACH versus Kotto Brazil and Jordan Oliver (with Myron Reed)

Brazil and Oliver go after ACH and Mo as the bell rings and Oliver sends Mo to the floor. Brazil kicks ACH. ACH sends Brazil into Oliver and ACH chops Brazil in the corner. ACH with a drop kick to Brazil and then he gives Oliver a leg sweep and a leg drop. Mo tags in and they knee ACH and give him a double hip toss. Mo with kicks to the leg and the goes for the legs but Brazil gets to the ropes.

ACH tags in and he chops Brazil and sends him into the turnbuckles. ACH with kicks to Brazil in the corner. ACH with an Irish whip and ACH blocks a boot. ACH with an Irish whip and Brazil with a head scissors followed by a drop kick. ACH is pulled to the floor by Reed and Oliver and Brazil with a drop kick through the ropes. Oliver sends ACH into the guardrails. ACH is sent into the apron and then back into the ring.

Brazil with a front face lock and Oliver tags in. Oliver with a chop but ACH slaps Oliver. Brazil attacks ACH. Oliver with a kick to the back. ACH slaps Oliver. Oliver with a chop. Brazil tags in and he hits a clothesline into the corner. Brazil with a chop and a snap mare. Oliver tags in and Oliver with a slingshot elbow drop. Brazil with an elbow drop and then Oliver with another slingshot elbow drop.

Oliver distracts the referee and Brazil knocks Mo off the apron. Brazil with a front face lock.

Brazil goes for a Sharpshooter but ACH blocks it for a moment and Brazil is able to apply it. ACH is able to get to the ropes to force Brazil to release the hold. Oliver tags in and he chops ACH. Oliver with more chops. ACH with a chop and he knocks Brazil off the apron. Olive with a waist lock but ACH with a snap mare. Oliver with a kick and ACH with a clothesline. Mo tags in and Brazil comes in and Mo with a spinebuster and reverse atomic drop. Mo goes for a Doctor Bomb but Brazil counters with a rana. Oliver tags in and Mo with a double spear. ACH tags in and ACH with chops and forearms. ACH with kicks to Brazil and then Oliver and ACH with waist locks. ACH with a back heel kick.

ACH floats over and he hits a leg sweep and drop kick. Mo with a splash while ACH hits an enzuigiri. Mo with a Doctor Bomb and then he applies a heel hook and Brazil taps out.

Winners: ACH and King Mo

We go to the brackets for the Opera Cup, which will start tonight.

We go commercial.

We are back with Gino Medina talking to Konnan in the stairway but they would not talk on camera.

We go to the Dynasty.

Alexander Hammerstone and Richard Holliday get their drinks and Maxwell Jacob Friedman shows up and it is time for Gift Train. They talk about this being the best Chanukkah/Christmas gift ever. Maxwell gives Richard the biggest Air Pods. Maxwell says they are custom made and not on the market. Maxwell wants to know what Holliday got him for Chanukkah/Christmas. Holliday gives Maxwell as Max Mini. Maxwell says this is dogs***. Hammerstone gets rid of Max Mini.

We have a video package for the Opera Cup talking about the history of the tournament. The Cup has been at the Hart Family House and Davey Boy Smith Jr. got it when Stu passed away. Smith donated the Cup to MLW to revive the tournament.

Match Number Two: Timothy Thatcher versus Richard Holliday in an Opera Cup First Round Match

They lock up and go to a stalemate. They locku p again and Holliday backs Thatcher into the ropes and pie faces Thatcher. Thatcher with an enzuigiri and Saito suplex for a near fall. Thatcher goes for the arm but Holliday locks his arms. Thatcher with forearms to the back and a waist lock. Holliday with a twisting suplex. Thatcher with a single leg take down but Holliday kicks Thatcher away and hits a back elbow.

Holliday with a forearm and chop. Holliday with a punch and Thatcher with a single leg take down into a single leg crab. Holliday escapes and Thatcher turns it into an ankle lock. Holliday rolls through and sends Thatcher into the turnbuckles. Holliday with a rollup for a near fall. Holliday with a drop kick for a near fall. Holliday stomps on the ankle.

Holliday with a kick and elbow drop for a near fall. Holliday with a slam but misses an elbow drop. Thatcher with a European uppercut or three. Thatcher with a forearm across the chest. Thatcher with another forearm across the chest. Thatcher sends Holliday into the turnbuckles and then he connects with another forearm. Holliday with a back elbow for a near fall. Thatcher with forearms to Holiday. Holliday with forearms to Thatcher followed by punches but Thatcher with forearms. Holliday with a DDT for a near fall.

Holliday is backed into the corner and Thatcher with a punch to the midsection. Holliday with a back elbow and a double underhook but Thatcher escapes and goes for a suplex but Holiday escapes. Holliday with a butterfly back breaker followed by a spinebuster for a near fall. Holiday goes for a gutwrench but Thatcher blocks it. Holiday with a back elbow and Thatcher slaps Holliday. Thatcher with a double underhook but Holliday with a back drop into a jackknife cover for a near fall.

Thatcher with a butterfly suplex for a near fall. Thatcher runs into a boot and Holliday goes to the turnbuckles but Thatcher with a forearm and Thatcher sets for a superplex. Holliday sends Thatcher to the mat but Thatcher pops up and he sets for a superplex and Holiday counters with a twisting superplex for a near fall. Thatcher applies a Fujiwara arm bar and Holliday taps out.

Winner: Timothy Thatcher (Advances to face winner of Brian Pillman Jr. versus TJP)

We go to Selina de la Renta. Selina says she does not want to talk to Alicia. Salina sees Gino Medina and leaves.

We go to Mance Warner. He tells Jimmy Havoc they were supposed to have a Taipei Death Match, but you couldn’t do it. Mance wants an eye for an eye. He will put a mask on his head and Jimmy will put a mask on their head. They won’t be able to see s***. He says he does not need any eyeballs and he will knock Jimbo out cold.

We go to the David Von Erich, Ross Von Erich, and Marshall Von Erich in Hawaii. Marshall says when Tom Lawlor was the champion, he had a target on his back and they were with him to fight against Contra Unit. Tom turned his back on them. Tom thought they wanted the title. Ross says Tom talked about loyalty and respect but he turned on them. Marshall says he wants to know why this happened.

David says it did them a favor. It is about money. David says Chris Adams turned on him. Tom only cares about money.

We go to Contra Unit. Josef says Ikuro Kwon has been dispatched to Japan for a special mission. Soldiers are rising all over the world.

We go to commercial.
We are back with the StrongHearts from OWE. They tell Contra Unit that they will destroy Contra Unit in the Japanese style. They are not hybrid style.

Match Number Three: Brian Pillman Jr. versus TJP in a First Round Opera Cup Match

They lock up and TJP with a take down into a front face lock. Pillman with a wrist lock and TJP with a reversal and a head scissors take down. Pillman gets a near fall but TJP takes Pillman down again with a head scissors and gets a near fall. TJP with a wrist lock. Pillman with a kick to escape. They lock up and Pillman with a side head lock take down.

TJP escapes the head lock and Pillman pushes TJP. TJP pushes back and he takes Pillman down with a side head lock. Pillman tries to escape and he applies a head scissors. TJP with a head stand and he escapes and misses a kick. Pillman with a rollup and they go to a stand off.

They lock up and Pillman backs TJP into the corner. Pillman misses a chop and TJP with an uppercut. Pillman with chops. Pillman with an Irish whip and TJP with a head scissors that sends Pillman to the floor. TJP with a double jump drop kick and he sends Pilman back into the ring. TJP with a back breaker and he gets a near fall. TJP gets a near fall with a knuckle lock. TJP kicks Pillman from the mat and takes Pillman down. TJP with a Sharpshooter on Pillman. TJP with a Muta Lock. Pillman with a reverse chin lock but TJP escapes and applies a hammer lock using the leg and he goes for the other arm but Pillman blocks it. TJP with a rear chin lock. Pillman with punches and a chop.

TJP slides through the legs and he applies an octopus. Pillman with a stretch muffler. TJP with a rollup for a near fall. TJP hyper-extends the arm. TJP with a belly-to-back suplex and then he goes up top and misses a swanton. Pillman with a punch and chops. Pillman with a running forearm and chop. TJP kicks Pillman away and Pillman with a power slam for a near fall.

TJP with a tornado DDT and both men are down so the referee starts his count. TJP runs into a boot and Pillman goes to the apron. TJP with a thrust kick to stop a springboard move from Pillman. Pillman with a forearm from the apron and he goes to the turnbuckles. TJP sets for a superplex but Pillman blocks it. TJP hits the superplex and then he hits a brainbuster for a near fall. TJP with a round kick for a near fall. TJP with a heel hook and he grapevines the leg. Pillman crawls to the ropes and TJP traps the arm. Pillman is able to get to the ropes to force the hold to be released. TJP with a kick to Pillman and he turns his attention to the knee. Pillman with a chop. TJP with a European uppercut and Pillman fires back. They exchange forearms. TJP with kicks to Pillman but Pillman with a thrust kick. Pillman has a kick blocked and TJP with a belly-to-back suplex. TJP gets set for the Detonation Kick but Pillman with forearms. TJP misses the Detonation Kick and Pillman with a knee and the wrist clutch swinging neck breaker for the three count.

Winner: Brian Pillman Jr. (Advances to face Timothy Thatcher)
