BEST SPORTS FOR A FULL BODY WORKOUT

By Kendall Jenkins on 2019-12-11 20:47:00

Various researches have shown the physical and mental benefits of exercise on the body. But then, spending hours in the gym trying to stay fit can get boring. Even though you understand the benefits of exercising, you can't help but get tired of the repetitive gym activities.

If you find yourself in this situation, then you need to try these sports. They will give you a full body workout while offering you an escape from the four walls of the gym.

Tennis

Tennis is a sport that requires you to move your entire body. If you’re playing with a professional, you’ll find yourself all over the court just trying to stay in the game. Even if you’re practicing with the tennis ball machine, you’ll still need to work your arms and legs.

That’s why anybody who’s looking for a great way to exercise and have fun should take up tennis. Not only does it help you work up a sweat, but it also gives you the chance to compete with others. There’s something about facing a human opponent that pumps adrenaline through your body. It makes you feel alive.

If you’re going to play tennis, you need to get the best kit. You need the best tennis shoes, and of course, the best tennis racquets. Without the proper gear, your friendly game can quickly turn into a nightmare. With the proper gear, you can take your game to a whole new level.

Golf

Since golf is often viewed as a relaxing game, you may be forgiven to think it doesn't belong on this list. But then, it does. Unlike the other sports listed here, golf helps you work out in a totally different way. To play golf, you need to consistently perform certain actions and follow some bodily movements. You'll also need to walk some distance, with or without your golf clubs.

Even if you rent a golf cart, there's still a significant amount of physical exertion involved in playing golf. It's not as high as cycling or tennis, and so, most people overlook it. Golf is perfect for older individuals who need to exercise, but find traditional sports too exerting. This isn't to say that young people can't enjoy the game just as well. In fact, a huge percentage of people that play golf are younger individuals.

Cycling or Mountain Biking

Cycling is another sport that's guaranteed to get your blood pumping. The process of riding a bike is fun and engaging, and it may be just what you need. Additionally, while cycling, you get to see beautiful sceneries, depending on the path you take. You can have a therapeutic expedition while exercising.

You can also join a cycling team and have friendly competitions. Your team can motivate you to go farther and cycle longer than you'd have if you had stayed in the gym. As you progress, you can even try advanced forms of cycling, like mountain biking.

Mountain biking involves a more rugged terrain, and it requires more focus. It may be just what you need if you’re looking for a workout with a bit of excitement and challenge.
