Elias, who has been out injured since September with an ankle injury, is backstage at Friday Night Smackdown in Birmingham, Alabama.
As of this writing, there is no confirmation whether Elias, who was not drafted to a specific brand during the most recent WWE Draft, was there to be evaluated by WWE medical or whether he's appearing on Smackdown tonight. He had been slated earlier this month to be evaluated by WWE medical.
