JEREMY GANGER, INDEPENDENT WRESTLER WHO RESCUED POTENTIAL VICTIMS IN LAST SUMMER'S DAYTON MASS SHOOTING, HONORED BY WWE

By Mike Johnson on 2019-11-07 10:01:00

Independent wrestler Jeremy Ganger, who was bouncing at Dayton, Ohio establishment Ned Pepper's during the August 2019 mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio, was honored at last night's WWE NXT taping in Orlando, Florida for his heroism.  During the shooting, Ganger exited Ned Peppers, brought several people into the restaurant and barred the door, preventing the shooter from entering.  After the shooter was killed by authorities, Ganger returned outside to assist in disarming him.  The person responsible murdered ten people and injured 27 others despite being confronted and killed by authorities within a minute of opening fire.   Had it not been for Ganger, there likely would have been additional casualties and injuries.

WOGX-TV in Orlando featured a piece on Ganger being honored by Triple H at the event:

Ganger suffered injuries after being hit with shrapnel, which he has yet to undergo surgery to remove.

A GoFundMe campaign was quietly launched several months ago to assist Ganger, who is still having trouble sleeping after the incident and other medical issues.  For more about the campaign, click here.
