RING OF HONOR TV TO DEBUT THIS FRIDAY ON FORMER FOX SPORTS REGIONAL CHANNELS, OFFICIALLY SET FOR THE DEBUTING MARQUEE SPORTS NETWORK AS WELL

By Mike Johnson on 2019-11-04 16:17:00

Ring of Honor's weekly TV will debut this Friday at Midnight (local time) on the 21 former FOX Sports regional sports networks that were purchased by ROH parent company Sinclair Broadcast Group back in May.

Sinclair's Regional Sports Networks are made up of the following former FOX Sports regional entities - Fox Sports Arizona, Fox Sports Detroit, Fox Sports Florida, Fox Sports Sun, Fox Sports North, Fox Sports Wisconsin, Fox Sports Ohio, SportsTime Ohio, Fox Sports South, Fox Sports Carolina, Fox Sports Tennessee, Fox Sports Southeast, Fox Sports Southwest, Fox Sports Oklahoma, Fox Sports New Orleans, Fox Sports Midwest, Fox Sports Kansas City, Fox Sports Indiana, Fox Sports San Diego, Fox Sports West, and Prime Ticket - so if your local carrier features those entities (which have been repackaged under the Sinclair Regional Sports Networks title), you will now have weekly access to ROH TV.  Check your local listings for when the series will air, but it is slated for midnight locally in those markets as of this Friday 11/7.

It was also made official today that when Marquee Sports Network, Sinclair's  joint venture with The Chicago Cubs, launches next year, ROH programming will be airing on that outlet as well.

All of these moves are a needed, significant step up for ROH.

ROH issued the following to PWInsider.com:

RING OF HONOR NOW AVAILABLE ACROSS SINCLAIR BROADCAST GROUP’S NEWLY PURCHASED REGIONAL SPORTS NETWORKS

Baltimore, MD (November 1, 2019) –Beginning Friday, November 8, Ring of Honor Wrestling will now air at midnight in the applicable time zones for wrestling fans who receive any of the 21 RSNs that Sinclair acquired earlier this year - and on Marquee when it launches in early 2020.

“The one thing that has always made Ring of Honor so special and able to overcome any hurdle over the past 17 years, is our undeniable commitment to wrestling fans,” said Ring of Honor Chief Operating Officer, Joe Koff.  “Gaining distribution with a fixed time every week is a major breakthrough that makes it easier  for our audience to find and follow Ring of Honor.  We are constantly endeavoring to bring more to our fans, so we are thrilled to have the opportunity to expand our offerings to reach more viewers geographically and offer more programming time for our existing viewers.”

“This is a significant step for Ring of Honor and the Regional Sports Networks and we look forward to delivering more original content to our viewers ” said Jeff Krolik, president of Sinclair’s regional sports networks.
