Major League Wrestling will present their first PPV, Saturday Night Super Fight on Saturday 11/2 from Chicago. The PPV is almost sold out, so if you are planning to attend, visit www.MLWTickets.com.
For those asking what MLW will do with FUSION TV that night as they are scheduled to air on beIN Sports the same night, PWInsider.com can confirmd they will be doing a live one hour broadcast leading directly into the Saturday Night Super Fight PPV. MLW has not yet confirmed where that will air, but beIN Sport makes sense. Stay tuned.
Announced thus far for the PPV:
*MLW Champion Jacob Fatu vs. LA Park.
*MLW Middleweight Champion Teddy Hart vs. Austin Aries.
*Timothy Thatcher vs. Tom Lawlor.
*MLW National Openweight Champion Alexander Hammerstone vs. Davey Boy Smith Jr.
With Alex Greenfield's departure as TV Producer, others are stepping in to take over his responsibilities. He was not working on Creative, which is Court Bauer's position as booker.
MLW is attending SPORTEL, an international TV conference in Monaco this month. The promotion is airing in 14 international countries currently.
Gino “El Intocable” Medina, which the promotion is planning to push in a major way, will make his official debut with the promotion on 11/9 in Orlando. That show is close to sold out as well.
Mance Warner has a follow-up medical appointment this week after puncturing his lung late last month. If cleared, Mance would likely return in time for the 11/2 PPV, but the promotion will wait until he has clearance before announcing anything.
MLWShop.com is now selling Teddy Hart Mr. Velvet plush cats and Von Erich foam claw hands, which had been an exclusive for MLW live events until this week.
MLW has had the Opera Cup, which had been in Teddy Hart's possession after he inherited it from his grandfather, Stu Hart, with a restoration company that has been working on cleaning and fixing the trophy in order to restore and beautify it over the last eight weeks. They expect it back shortly. The Opera Cup will be a big part of the December NYC TV taping and there are early plans to allow fans to take photos with it before the Melrose Ballroom taping on 12/5.
