Hip hop star and mogul Master P has returned to professional wrestling.
Earlier this week P announced on his Instagram account that he had purchased New York City's House of Glory Wrestling, the promotion founded by The Amazing Red and Brian XL in 2014:
"Our new lifestyle of the elite and wealthy tv show is called “Miller’s Family Treasures” and we are making history by bringing Hip Hop to wrestling. H.O.G. “House of Glory” Join the movement #weallwegot @hogwrestling"
We are told that P has purchased the majority of the company and will be putting his muscle and production team behind it going forward. XL remains the head of creative. This is a huge boost for the promotion in a lot of ways. It has received a lot of attention over the last few days in the hip hop community.
P was involved in the tail end of World Championship Wrestling in 2000, appearing on screen as a personality, leading the No Limit Soliders group.
House of Glory returns to Jamaica, Queens on 11/16 with TJP and Kurt Angle, among others appearing. For more on the promotion, visit HOGWrestling.net.
