FORMER WWF STAR SUNNY BEACH UNDERGOES QUADRUPLE BYPASS

By Mike Johnson on 2019-10-04 11:40:00

Rick Allen, professionally known as Sunny Beach for Herb Abrams' UWF and as Sandy Beach for the WWF, underwent a quadruple bypass surgery last week following a heart attack.

Allen, 56 years old, actually drove himself to the hospital and was told that had he not done so, he may not had the chance to survive.

Allen worked for WWF in an undercard for four years after working as a stuntman and being noticed on the set of the WWF film No Holds Barred.  After his WWF run, Allen worked for a number of different promotions including Herb Abrams UWF, where he won the Tag Team titles with Stevie Ray as Wet and Wild, the GWF in Texas, Gordon Scozzari's AWF and Stampede Wrestling, among other promotions.

Allen, who retired from the business in the 1990s, now works in training security professionals.

Our best wishes to Allen for a quick and painless recovery.
