NXT INJURY UPDATES, FORMER WWE EXEC TALKS UP CIRQUE DU SOLIEL AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2019-09-20 10:42:00

Lou D'Angeli, aka the former Sign Guy Dudley in ECW and a former WWE Live Events Executive, spoke with The Las Vegas Sun about the new Cirque du Soliel show Run.  D'Angeli has been a top Cirque executive since departing WWE for Cirque.

WWE released a YouTube video with the debuting Matt Camp discussing injuries to NXT stars coming out of Wednesday night's USA Network debut:

The video notes that Velveteen Dream was suffering from lumbar pain after his loss to Roderick Strong and has not been cleared to compete, that there is concern over an orbital bone injury to Kona Reeves after he was busted open while wrestling Damien Priest in a dark match and that Artuto Ruas will be getting an x-ray of his hand after his match with Pete Dunne.  I believe some of this is storyline-driven, but the Reeves concern is 100% legitimate.  If WWE's idea here is to fill in blanks on why characters disappear for a bit, it's a smart idea, even if the injuries are storyline.

EVOLVE Champion Austin Theory made his live event debut at last night's NXT house show.

At last night's Chicago Cubs game, Anthony Rizzo used The Undertaker's theme when he came up to bat.
