IMPACT EXECS AT WOW TAPING, NEW ANTHEM HIRES, BOUND FOR GLORY WEEKEND AND MORE IMPACT NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2019-09-18 09:30:00

Ed Nordholm and Scott D'Amore were at last night's WOW, Women of Wrestling TV taping in Hollywood.  Nordholm was seen in the crowd while D'Amore was in the production truck.  There will be another WOW taping tonight at the Belasco Theater.

It was announced yesterday that Anthem Sports & Entertainment has hired Randy Brown as Senior Vice President of Distribution and Peter Cohen at Senior Vice President, Programming Strategy & Content Development.  Both had been working as strategic advisors for the company.  Brown had previously worked with ESPN, among other companies.  Cohen has worked for HBO, MTV and Much Music in the past.

For those who have asked why Impact didn't immediately shift over to AXS TV, we are told that they are finishing commitments to the Pursuit Channel.  AXS TV's social media is already heavily pushing Impact's forthcoming debut.

There will be a Fight Network documentary on Ken Shamrock forthcoming.

For those who asked, there have been no new developments in the Jeff Jarrett/Global Force vs. Anthem lawsuit over the last month.

Michael Elgin commented on why his Bound for Glory PPV bout against Naomichi Marufuji is important to him personally:

Ken Shamrock will be presenting a bare knuckle fighting tournament, Valor Bare Knuckle on 9/21 as a PPV on FITE.TV.  For details, click here.
